  • Patent number: 7363746
Abstract: An ant exterminating apparatus operates to exterminate an ant colony using a energy producing element secured within a housing. The ant exterminating apparatus further includes a cover that is pivotally attached to a base. The cover is pivotable between an open position and a closed position, and an energy producing element is affixed to the cover to quickly generate radiation or heat energy between the cover and the base upon command of either the user or a conventional timing device. Bait is placed within the housing to attract the worker ants, and the energy producing element is activated periodically. The energy producing element will raise the body temperature of the ants such that the ants will die while feeding on the bait or soon thereafter, thereby destroying the colony.

  • Patent number: 7322148
Abstract: An ice rigger apparatus has a planar base member that has an adjustable fishing rod holder at one end and a trip rod at the other end. The trip rod is rotatably mounted to the top surface of the base member and is disposed generally transversely to the base member. The trip rod includes means for releasably attaching a portion of a line to it, the line running from a fishing pole placed within the rod holder to a lure that is suspended in the water just below the ice. The trip rod also includes means for releasing an indicator flag when the lure has attracted a fish and the fish has taken the bait.

  • Patent number: 7316095
Abstract: An adjustable depth fishing lure has a lure body with forward and tail sections. A diving lip is pivotably attached to the forward section of the body by dual arm members. The diving lip is configured to be adjustably positioned at a plurality of angles in relation to the lure body by a control element located within the forward section. The control element has a plurality of slots into which the diving lip can be set. A push tab extends from the element. A spring is positioned between a front wall of the forward section and the control element. The spring applies a compressive force against the control element, which biases the element against the diving lip to maintain it in one of the plurality of slots. When the control element's tab is pushed, the element travels inward into the forward section, which releases the pressure on the diving lip, allowing it to be repositioned into another of the slots.

  • Patent number: 7313882
Abstract: A hold adjustment device between fore-end iron and action body in a break-open firearm comprising at least one barrel (13) mobile by rotation about a fixed hinging point (15) arranged on an action body (14) between an aligned closed position and a disengaged position rotated open with respect to the action body (14), a tenon (18) fixed at the bottom to the at least one barrel (13) for hooking with a fore-end iron (16), comprising a block (21), or cursor, axially mobile with respect to the fore-end iron (16) and suitable for interfering with the tenon (18), an adjustment pin (26) carrying on its stem-shaped portion (27) a plurality of ring-shaped springs (28), as well as a rear axial binding (30), in which the elastic adjustment device of the fore-end iron-action body hold (20) is suitable for giving a suitable hold and/or the recovery of the loss of hold due to the wear of the fore-end iron-action body coupling.

  • Patent number: 7305790
Abstract: A light assembly having a pre-defined shape is provided to be removably attached to a guide provided on a weapon. The light assembly comprises a housing provided with a reflector having a lamp at one end thereof and batteries for powering the lamp through a switch. The housing has a pair of lateral members which are movable between a retracted position and an extended position so that, when the members are in the retracted position, the light assembly has the above-mentioned pre-defined shape and when the members are in the extended position, they are adapted to engage the guide. Means for preventing the longitudinal movement of the light assembly on the guide are also provided with the light assembly. The light assembly can thus be easily mounted and used as an aiming device with a weapon or be readily used as a separate and independent entity.

  • Patent number: 7281349
Abstract: An assembly includes an anchor plate that is formed from steel and has opposing sides spaced from the axis and extends parallel thereto. The anchor plate is further provided with spaced apertures formed therein. One elongated stake is inserted through one aperture and interfitted into the ground so that the anchor plate is prohibited from being disengaged from the ground. A chain includes child links connected end-to-end and parent links having a greater thickness and diameter than the child links. The parent links are fastened to one of the apertures and the animal trap, and are fastened to outer ones of the child links. The chain is formed from steel. The anchor plate and one stake resist external forces acting on the chain so that the animal trap is prevented from moving beyond a maximum distance defined by a length of the chain.
