Patent number: 5161339Abstract: Trim piece for trench duct which can be used where the floor covering is tile or carpet. There are three outwardly extending flanges. In the tile mode, one flange is used as a tile separator and the other flanges are used respectively to support the trench cover and an edge of the floor tile. In the carpet mode, the trim is turned 180.degree. so the tile separator flange is inactive wile the other flange respectively support the edge of the floor tile and the trench cover. In the tile mode, the edge of the floor tile has vertical support so the breakage is avoided. This is attained by that the trim flange supporting the edge is in turn supported by the trench and by concrete.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1991Date of Patent: November 10, 1992Inventor: John P. Patent number: 5125196Abstract: A dock seal header to be secured over a doorway in a loading dock. The header includes a panel or sheet of flexible material having an upper edge which is secured to the dock above the doorway. The header extends down to partially enclose the upper end of the doorway. A plurality of horizontal slabs or bars of a compressible material, such as foam plastic, are mounted in vertically spaced relation to the panel. A cable and pulley system is attached to the lower edge of the panel. The panel can be pulled up to a generally curved configuration through the cable system and is adapted to drape against the top of a truck parked in front of the loading dock. The side edges of the header panel are connected to the header pad cover by releasable fasteners, such as a hook and loop arrangement. As the panel is pulled upwardly, the fasteners will release and as the panel lowers, the fasteners will automatically re-engage.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1991Date of Patent: June 30, 1992Assignee: Kelley Company Inc.Inventor: Ralph W. Patent number: 5123225Abstract: A panel assembly includes a resiliently deflectable panel and a plurality of retainer clips. The panel includes a relatively thick rectangular base section and a relatively thin rectangular lip section which extends outwardly from the periphery of the base section. The retainer clips are connected with the base section and cooperate with the lip section of the panel to engage a support structure to hold the panel in place. To mount the panel in the support structure, the panel is resiliently flexed. The panel is then released and its natural resilience causes a retainer clip to engage the support structure to hold the panel against movement relative to the support structure. A disengagement tool may advantageously be inserted between the panel and the support structure to apply force against the retainer clip and to resiliently flex the panel to disengage the retainer clip from the support structure.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 1990Date of Patent: June 23, 1992Inventor: John P. Goodworth
