  • Patent number: 11302213
Abstract: A device, sometimes mobile, which simulates human motion, such as an omnidirectional sensing target. The target that can detect and differentiate between projectile (bullet) hits to the head, body, and one or more peripheral regions (e.g., arms, pelvis, legs) of a humanoid-form target, elicit a physical response from the mobile device based upon the sensing data, and provide real time feedback to a user (shooter) via a user-friendly interface. The target includes multiple layers of conductive material separated by one or more insulating layers. Forming can be by wrapping planar sensing panel into a three-dimensional configuration such that the panel occludes a three-dimensional volume and presents surfaces sensing projectiles from all directions. Associated circuitry is configured to have a bullet pass through multiple zones and to electronically detect the bullet path based on a combination and/or sequence of zones detecting bullet passage.

  • Patent number: 11291887
Abstract: In a golf ball having a core, an intermediate layer and a cover, the core is formed primarily of a base rubber and has a diameter set in a specific range, and the intermediate layer and cover are each formed of resin materials. The core has an internal hardness such that, regarding the hardness at the core center, the hardnesses at positions located at 2 mm intervals from the core center outward up to 16 mm and the core surface hardness, the hardness differences therebetween are set within a specific range. The ball surface hardness is set so as to be higher than the surface hardness of the intermediate layer-encased sphere. This ball achieves a satisfactory distance on full shots not only with a driver, but also with a long iron or a middle iron, in addition to which it has an excellent durability to repeated impact.

  • Patent number: 11274899
Abstract: Various archery bows with abutting limb support are shown. One bow includes a riser that has a handle portion and first and second riser portions extending from the handle portion. The first riser portion has multiple limb contact surfaces that are spaced apart. The bow also has a first limb with a proximal end portion that has multiple external surfaces that abut and are articulable relative to the limb contact surfaces. This first limb is free-floating against the first riser portion. A second limb and a bowstring are connected to the bow as well. Tension in the bowstring is transferred to the first and second limbs. Limbs such as the first limb store energy across more of the length of the limb, have less concentrated stresses, and can be supported and dampened close to the proximal end of the limb.

  • Patent number: 11235223
Abstract: The automated projectile launching device is a pitching machine that can launch biodegradable balls. The device is intended to provide a portable batter-training implement, that is capable of giving the user the change in velocity, angle of pitch and change in range, that comes naturally because of the variations in dimensions of bio-degradable balls. The use of bio-degradable balls further prevents the need to collect the balls after practice as they break on forced contact into smaller pieces and dissolve when wet with water, making it environment friendly. Furthermore, the compact, lightweight, and portable pitching machine includes multiple placement and incline options. Additionally, the device includes multiple components that are flexible, for the smooth handling of the bio-degradable balls. Thus, the automated projectile launching device is a unique training aid for all hitters, that can provide various pitch locations and angle variations effortlessly, and thus effective training.
