Abstract: Embodiments provide optimized room assignments for a hotel in response to receiving a plurality of hard constraints and soft constraints and receiving reservation preferences and room features. The optimization includes determining a guest satisfaction assignment cost based on the reservation preferences and room features, determining an operational efficiency assignment cost, generating a weighted cost matrix based on the guest satisfaction assignment cost and the operational efficiency assignment cost, and generating preliminary room assignments based on the weighted cost matrix. When the preliminary room assignments are feasible, the preliminary room assignments are the optimized room assignments comprising a feasible selection of elements of the matrix. When the preliminary room assignments are infeasible, embodiments relax one or more constraints and repeat the performing optimization until the preliminary room assignments are feasible.

Abstract: Vehicle allocation method and system for ride-sharing are provided. The method includes receiving a first set of booking requests is received, at a first time instance, from a set of customer devices for sharing one or more rides. A second set of booking requests is determined, at a second time instance, based on the first set of booking requests and a third set of booking requests. The third set of booking requests is determined based on at least one of historical booking data and booking requests received after the first time instance. A set of vehicles available for the one or more rides is determined at the second time instance. A graph is generated based on the second set of booking requests and the set of available vehicles. An available vehicle is allocated to one or more customers based on optimal matching between nodes of the graph.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for planning a route. A specific embodiment of the method includes: acquiring task information; generating initial route information based on the task information; performing the updating step including: updating the second sequence in the second sequence set based on a preset rule; updating the first sequence in the first sequence set based on the updated second sequence set; and determining a delivery cost of the delivery unit based on the updated first sequence set and the updated second sequence set; and the method further includes: determining, based on the updated first sequence set and the updated second sequence set, a route of the to-be-delivered items delivered from the initial node to the destination node via the intermediate node, in response to the determined delivery cost meeting a preset delivery cost condition.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product related to delivery of packages to online shopping customers. In an embodiment, the invention provides a method comprising identifying a pool of candidate delivery drivers; analyzing driving patterns of the candidate drivers in a geographic area; analyzing activities of specified online shoppers in the geographic area; and sending a message to contact one of the candidate drivers to deliver a package or packages to an online shopper based on a defined matching of the analyzed driving patterns of the candidate drivers with the analyzed activities of the online shoppers. In an embodiment, each of the candidate drivers has an associated mobile communications device; and the analyzing driving patterns of the candidate drivers includes using specified changes in locations of the mobile communication devices associated with the candidate delivery drivers to identify the driving patterns of the candidate drivers.

The rate may be based on many factors that can be extracted or derived from the historical bid data, including, but not limited to: location and market tier of the property, length of relationship with the channel (which may be an account or customer), the included amenities, the cancellation policy, the size of the account's or channel's event, the season of the booking, the proximity of the channel's offices of the account or channel to the property. Increased confidence that a customer is getting a fair rate facilitates negotiations between contracting parties.
