  • Patent number: 11222093
Abstract: The present disclosure provides detecting change of variance points of a target time series based on baseline assumptions of statistical stationarity. A target time series signal is modeled as including a trend component signal and a residual component signal. A signal cost function including at least a difference penalty function and at least one regularization term is optimized for the target signal to output a trend component signal thereof. A signal cost function including at least a difference penalty function and at least one regularization term is optimized for the residual component signal to output estimated variance thereof. Both of these cost functions may be optimized by applying an augmented Lagrangian operator. A centered cumulative sum is computed based on a cumulative sum of the estimated variance. The centered cumulative sum is segmented to yield change of variance points thereof. Such methods may provide improved performance over existing methods.

  • Patent number: 11215649
Abstract: An electric power system comprises recording devices (101-105) located at different elements of the electric power system and configured to record waveform samples of quantities related to operation of the elements of the electric power system. The electric power system comprises a central device (106) configured to receive the recorded waveform samples from the recording devices. The recording devices are synchronized to maintain a common clock time and to associate, to each of the recorded waveform samples, one or more timing values indicative of the clock time during recording the waveform sample. As the timing values are associated to the waveform samples, it is possible to reconstruct a time order of phenomena indicated by the recorded waveform samples. Thus, it is possible to identify which of the phenomena are causes and which are consequences when analyzing for example what happened prior to a fault situation.

  • Patent number: 11204376
Abstract: A DSP-based electrical energy metering device is provided. After determining a current application mode, a DSP controller compares an execution rate of each computing task with a corresponding preset comparison value, and outputs a first condition value to a condition general register based on a comparison result, so as to control an execution rate of each computing task in the DSP controller. A jump condition controller outputs a second condition value corresponding to the current application mode to the condition general register based on a change in the execution rate of each computing task compared with an execution rate of the computing task in a previous application mode, so that all computing tasks are executed. An adaptive word length controller adjusts an effective bit width of the electrical signal read by a data general register from a data memory at execution rates of different computing tasks.

  • Patent number: 11200084
Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems for virtually calibrating geometric sensors with overlapping fields of view. In some embodiments, a geometric sensor may be virtually calibrated by applying a correction value to profile data obtained by the geometric sensor to generate adjusted profile data. The correction factor may be determined based at least in part on X-Y offsets and/or rotational offsets of prior profile data obtained by the geometric sensor relative to corresponding profile data obtained by a reference geometric sensor, and may be recalculated or updated as new sets of profile data are obtained. The adjusted profile data may be used in place of the original profile data in various data processing operations to functionally offset a positional error of the geometric sensor.
