Abstract: In various embodiments, an attendee of a live online meeting selects screen data from an earlier point in time in the online meeting for playback while the meeting is still ongoing. Automatically generated image thumbnails of the screen data for the online meeting may be employed to navigate to the earlier point in time. Attendees may annotate screenshots associated with the thumbnails, and a summary document may be generated that includes the screenshots and the annotations.

Abstract: Methods and systems for interfacing with multi-input devices employ various techniques for controlling the window framing of images. Such techniques provide control, including moving, sizing, and orientating, of one or more displayed window frames in which one or more images are displayed.

Abstract: A method and system for providing feedback for docking a content pane in a host window is disclosed. The method and system include providing a docking map. The docking map includes a plurality of docking areas there within. The method and system also include positioning a thumbnail associated with a content pane over one of the plurality of docking areas. Finally, the method and system include providing a hotspot on the thumbnail. The hotspot indicates that the content pane can be dropped into the one docking area. The feedback enables a user to precisely dock a content pane. In addition, a user can predict the final configuration of the host window. In addition, the docking of the content pane can determine complex configurations within a host window including nested splitters and notebooks whose tabs are oriented in any direction.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed in which bitmap data transmission is improved by using some of the advantages of primitive remoting, thus allowing for the reduction of the bandwidth and processing needed to remote a virtual desktop experience. In an embodiment, rendering is performed and bitmaps are remoted, but metadata comprising shortcuts or hints are provided to assist in the rendering of the bitmap data.

Abstract: A server chassis includes a server, a chassis management controller, and a local interface card. The server includes a controller that is configured to provide a remote user with access to a controller communication portal of the server via a remote access controller graphical user interface, and to send a message from the controller communication portal to a chassis management controller. The chassis management controller is configured to receive the message, to determine that the message is for a local interface card, and to send the message to the local interface card. The local interface card is configured to display the message on a screen connected to the local interface card, to detect a communication request, to display a communication interface at the screen, to receive a reply message via the communication interface, and to send the reply message to the chassis management controller.

Abstract: System and methods for audio editing are provided. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided. The computer-implemented method includes presenting a visual representation of digital audio data as a frequency spectrum including a first visual region corresponding to a first time period and a first frequency range in the digital audio data. A first user input identifies a second visual region within the first visual region and corresponding to a second time period and a second frequency range. A second user input specifies one or more frequency modifications to the second visual region. The second time period and the second frequency range corresponding to the second visual region are modified creating a modified second visual region. The modified second visual region is mixed into the first visual region creating edited digital audio data.

Abstract: A workflow design system provides user interface controls that allow a workflow author to focus on the steps of the workflow before deciding on how to control the flow of the workflow. With the system, an author can change the control flow of a workflow without re-ordering the sequence of steps within the workflow. The workflow design system allows the author to define a sequence of steps and then drag a control block over these steps to capture them within the control block. The author can also later remove the control block without affecting the sequence of steps if his needs change. In addition, the system presents error-handling workflows side-by-side with the main workflow, so that the author can modify the main workflow and notice the effects and any corresponding changes for error handling workflows at the same time.

Abstract: A visual clipboard system and method are provided, in which drag-and-release operations are employed to move copies of a displayed object onto and off of a predefined clipboard area. When a copy of a displayed object is placed on the predefined clipboard area, the displayed object is visually modified to indicate that the visually-modified copy is docked on the predefined clipboard area, and thus eligible for use in a copy operation. When a copy is removed from the predefined clipboard area and placed in a desired target location, the original appearance of the displayed object is restored.

The server system is operable, in response to receiving the first message from the personal computing device, to provide to the display device a second message identifying the user-selected content and the media player to play the content. In response to receiving the second message, the display device is operable to obtain a first media player needed to play the content, to load the media player and to present the content on the display.

Abstract: A method for generating a multi-frame image rendering of a challenge-response test on a display is presented. The method begins by identifying a pattern with graphical elements, and a display region for rendering an entry object of the multi-frame image of the challenge-response test. Then a foreground sampling window having a non-patterned area defined by the entry object is defined. The foreground sampling window captures graphical elements of the pattern along a first path. In addition, a background sampling window that captures graphical elements of the pattern along a second path is defined. The foreground sampling window is overlaid on the background sampling window at the display region of the display, such that the entry object of the challenge-response test is discernable from the pattern during a period of time when multiple frames are rendered.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to directed communication in a virtual environment. A method for method for providing directed communication between avatars in a virtual environment in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: determining a relative location of a first avatar and a second avatar in a virtual environment; and adjusting an aspect of a communication between the first avatar and the second avatar based on the relative location.

Abstract: A method and system are provided which allows enhanced support to graphical user interface (GUI) displays on multiple monitors. An extended markup language file provides code to configure each GUI. GUI software need not be re-compiled in order to implement changes in the layout of displays or to accommodate additional monitors. Potential display event handling delays are minimized by providing multiple Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) for GUIs. In one aspect, one JVM is provided for each GUI.
