  • Patent number: 7299584
Abstract: The invention is a tackle container that incorporates interchangeable inserts. The inserts secure different kinds of fishing lures and baits. For example, the inserts hold segmented lures within notched upright posts. In this regard, the inserts may be suitably structured to hold spinner bait lures, buzz bait lures, or other fishing lures with segmented bodies. Moreover, the inserts are interchangeable to facilitate a wider variety of uses for the tackle container.

  • Patent number: 7225742
Abstract: The invention relates to ammunition for fire and pneumatic smoothbore weapon and can be used for producing bullets for hunting and sporting guns. The inventive method consists in deforming the rear part of a tubular blank in such a way that an aerodynamic empennage is formed and in arranging a core in the front part of said blank. The core is introduced into the tubular blank prior to deforming and is fixed in said blank by deforming the front and rear parts thereof. Deformation is carried out by pressing the blank wall without modifying the thickness thereof. The deformation of the tubular blank can be carried out by longitudinally clamping said blank between two crimping matrixes. Said core is embodied in such a way that an extractor in the form of an aerodynamic needle is formed in the material thereof, the core being inserted when said extractor is disposed outside the internal volume of the blank.

  • Patent number: 7201116
Abstract: A foldable/collapsible structure that folds or collapses between a collapsed condition and an expanded condition. The structure includes a top and a bottom panel, and a pair of opposing sidewalls extending between the top and bottom panels. The opposing sidewalls each include a wall panel and an upper wall panel connected to one another by a hinge. Each of the wall panels and the upper wall portions has an external surface, and the hinged connection between the first and second wall panels allows the external surfaces of the respective all panels and upper wall portions to define an angle equal to or greater than 180 degrees. Upon collapse of the structure, the hinged connection between the wall panel and upper wall portion on one of the opposing walls maintains the external surfaces of the wall panel and upper wall portion at an angle equal to or greater than about 180 degrees.

  • Patent number: 7174668
Abstract: A control device for marine animals comprises an electrical device that applies an electrical voltage directly to a marine animal in order to shock the marine animal, for control thereof. The device preferably comprises a pole or rod having electrical prongs at one end which my be applied to the marine animal, thereby applying and electrical signal having a voltage, amperage and frequency that stuns and/or shocks the animal. The character of the electrical signal is such that the animal is temporarily paralyzed, so that it may be safely handled by humans for bringing it into a watercraft without otherwise damaging the animal.

  • Patent number: 7171775
Abstract: A gun sight reticle that has orthogonally intersecting center horizontal and center vertical straight hairlines is designed such that at least a portion of the vertical hairline located on a first side of the horizontal hairline is discontinuous such that discontinuities are disposed between straight segments of the vertical hairline. Sighting areas are disposed in at least some of the vertical hairline discontinuities, and the sighting areas are circumscribed by indicia that encloses the sighting area. In one example, the sighting areas are circular, and the indicia for each of the circumscribed sighting areas forms a circle.

  • Patent number: 7111425
Abstract: A fishing rod accessory includes a cylindrical coupling that has axially opposed end portions, a bore formed in fluid communication with the end portions, and a stop member positioned therein and extending along an interior surface of the coupling. A switch is partially nested within the coupling and has an axial bore formed therein. Such a switch further has proximal and distal end portions and a rectilinear finger protruding from the proximal end portion. A rectilinear axle has opposed end portions housed within the bore of the switch. A helical spring member is positioned about the axle and is resiliently deformable. The switch further includes a power supply source and an illuminable fixture electrically matable thereto. A fiber optic filament is positioned about the illuminable fixture. A fishing rod extension is removably positional about the switch. The fishing rod extension and the fishing rod intercalate the coupling and the switch therebeneath.

  • Patent number: 7107719
Abstract: A soft bait fish lure of the two-component variety having a rigid, hollow head and a soft and flexible rearmost body and tail fin of the lure. Each component includes a flat plate having opposing surfaces which are joined together by a snap-lock device. The head plate includes a pair of projections arranged in fixed spaced-apart relationship with each projection having a tapered head spaced from the surface of the plate. The plate associated with the rearmost and fin portion of the lure includes a pair of apertures for aligning with the projections and permits insertion of the projections through the apertures wherein a shank of each projection is then manipulated into a keyway on each of the respective apertures to establish proper alignment between the plates and the component parts as well as to provide a fixed securement therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7093389
Abstract: Traps are disclosed for controlling flying insects such as wasps. The traps are pre-packaged with attracting liquid prior to sale, and then sealed with a peel-off film in a manner that prevents leakage prior to use. When the trap is about to be used, the peel-off film is removed to expose both a trap entry and a pivotable stand. A rain/sun shield is then mounted on the stand, preferably with the upper portion of the stand projecting through the shield to form part of a hanger.

  • Patent number: 7089700
Abstract: A shock suppression system for a fishing rod is mounted to a fishing rod and connected to the secure end of the fishing line for dampening the movement of the secure end of the toward the tip of the rod when a force is applied to the free end of the line by a fish hooked on the line. The invention may include a piston attached to a cartridge that is mounted to the handle portion of the fishing rod. The piston is attached in sliding engagement to the cartridge, which has a mechanism for dampening the movement of the piston toward the rod tip. Such a mechanism may be found in pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders or compression spring systems as found on a screen door for a home.
