Abstract: A method for supporting the urethra of a patient to treat urinary incontinence includes introducing a surgical implant through an incision in an upper wall of the patient's vagina. The surgical implant includes a suburethral support, first and second soft tissue anchors connected to the suburethral support, and a flexible filamentary member extending between a proximal end of the first soft tissue anchor and a first end of the suburethral support. The first and second soft tissue anchors are inserted into soft tissue without penetrating the abdominal wall. The method also includes adjusting a position of the suburethral support below the patient's urethra and manipulating the filamentary member to connect the proximal end of the first anchor to the first end of the suburethral support with the support at the adjusted position.
Abstract: Methods and compositions for synchronizing the time of insemination in swine are described. More particularly, methods are described for synchronizing the time of insemination by administration of a composition comprising a hormone, wherein the swine is inseminated only one time after administration of the hormone, and wherein there is no heat detection.
Abstract: An implantable article and method are disclosed for treating pelvic floor disorders such as vaginal vault prolapse. A surgical kit useful for performing a surgical procedure such as a sacral colpopexy is also described.

Abstract: A system for extending a penis. The system includes a woven cylinder. The woven cylinder includes a set of fibers woven into a cylindrical shape. The woven cylinder is configured to lengthen when a force is applied to the woven cylinder and decrease in circumference when the woven cylinder lengthens. The woven cylinder is further configured to be placed on the penis of a user, applying a lateral force to the penis.

Abstract: A method of providing support to an anatomical structure of the pelvis includes inserting a first suspending member into a pelvic space on a first side of a urethra of a patient, the first suspending member being slidably received through a first end of a support. A second suspending member is inserted into a pelvic space on a second side of the urethra of the patient, the second suspending member being slidably received through a second end of the support. A position of the support under the urethra of the patient is adjusted by tensioning the first suspending member. The first suspending member is pulled through the first end of the support.
Abstract: A device, system and method for improving sexual erectile functions in males that includes an electromyography (EMG) sensor, which is set up in the perineum area over the bulbospongiosus and ischiocavernosus muscles. A cable connects the EMG sensor to an amplifier, the output of which is connected to an analog-to-digital converter. The converter transforms the EMG signal into a form that is accepted by a computer or a smartphone, which contains software that is able to display the EMG signal in a visual-auditory form that can be accepted by the sensory organs of a user. The training of the perineum muscles restricts the blood outflow from the cavernous bodies of a penis and reinforcement of erectile function.
Abstract: A dildo, including a solid high density heat-resistant glass substrate completely covered by a relatively inert metal plating such as gold, silver, nickel, chromium or titanium, the substrate having a shaft portion, a base portion at one end and a head portion at the opposite end. In one configuration the head and base portions are enlarged, the shaft portion having spaced protuberances. In another configuration the shaft portion is serpentine in form, the head portion is tapered and having a hole formed there through for a tether, and the base portion has oppositely projecting protuberances. The metal plating can have a variety of coloring patterns.
Abstract: The invention relates to a simple and easy to use stimulatory device which allows the user to apply vibrations to the frenulum, while being an essentially hands-free device, so that the user does not have to manually hold or manipulate the device during use. In an embodiment, the device allows the user to control the amplitude and frequency of the vibrations applied to the frenulum.

Abstract: Using a sling that includes a central portion and at least two arms extending from the central portion, a method of treating anal incontinence may include positioning the central portion posteriorly to the rectum and/or anus of a subject, and extending each arm of the sling to a respective obturator region. Using a sling having the same or similar structure, a method of treating pelvic organ prolapse may include positioning the central portion beneath the ano-rectum of a subject, and extending each arm of the sling to a respective thigh incision near the obturator region.
Abstract: A surgical device for use in a minimally invasive procedure to treat urinary incontinence can include a dilator coupled to a curved needle at one end and a sling at the opposite end. Urinary incontinence can be treated minimally invasively. One treatment includes positioning the sling on an anterior portion of the urethra to provide proper coaptation to the urethra.
Abstract: The present application relates to novel excitable particles which can be used in the health sector. It more particularly relates to particles which can generate electrons and/or high energy photon when excited by ionizing radiations such as X-Rays, ?-Rays, radioactive isotope and/or electron beams, and to the uses thereof in health, in particular in human health. The inventive particles are made of an inorganic material comprising oxygen, in particular an oxide, said material having an adequate density, and can be activated in vitro, ex vivo, or in vivo, by controllable external excitation, in order to disturb, alter or destroy target cells, tissues or organs. The invention also relates to methods for the production of said particles, and to pharmaceutical or medical device compositions containing same.
Abstract: A system for treating pelvic organ prolapse includes a shell and an anchor. The shell is made of biodegradable material that is insertable into a vagina. The shell has a convex exterior apex that is sized to contact an interior apical portion of the vagina. The anchor has a proximal portion that is attachable to the apex of the shell and a distal portion that is provided with a tissue fixation device that is attachable to tissue exterior the vagina such that the anchor and the shell combine to support and elevate the interior apical portion of a vagina.

The biomaterial can be a remodelable material that strengthens and/or supports the vessel walls. Abstract: A tissue modification apparatus includes a first and a second guide, a first and a second set of mounts, and a first and a second actuator. The first guide defines a first axis, and the second guide defines a second axis intersecting the first axis. The mounts of the first set of mounts are movable relative to one another along the first axis, and the mounts of the second set of mounts are movable relative to one another along the second axis. The first actuator and the second actuator are each settable to a stress load, with the first actuator and the second actuator movable, respectively, along the first axis and the second axis to transmit each respective stress load to a piece of tissue mechanically coupled to the first and second set of mounts.

Abstract: A device that can be delivered into a body cavity to manipulate tissue intracorporeally while being controlled extracorporeally and a method of using the device to perform a single-port laparoscopic or natural orifice surgery. The device is being capable of being passed through an interior diameter of a single port into the body cavity. The device comprises an anchor or suspension element that is attachable or mountable to the tissue intracorporeally, a guide element attached to the anchor or suspension element that allows for manipulation of at least one structure in at least one direction, and at least one structure attached to a suture or thread that is passable through the interior diameter of the port and positionable by the guide element. The structure is controllable extracorporeally by manipulating the suture or thread so that the structure moves in at least one direction intracorporeally.
