  • Patent number: 10995449
Abstract: A method for controlling a laundry drying machine having a laundry treating chamber and a control unit which receives a signal indicative of laundry moisture from a moisture sensor. The method includes receiving a user input of a laundry treating program, and, in the machine initialization phase, comparing the laundry moisture indicated by the signal to a first threshold, which is stored in the control unit and is indicative of dried laundry or empty threating chamber. If the signal is determined to be equal or less than the first threshold, one or more of the following actions is performed: carrying out only a portion of the selected laundry treating program; skipping the program main phase; starting the program final phase; stopping the laundry treating program; providing a notification of dried laundry and/or empty treating chamber.

  • Patent number: 10156399
Abstract: The present invention proposes a drying tower with grain flow in parallel and sinuous in combination with reverse and radial crossed air flows in form of “Z” oblique for the implementation in the drying of grains, seeds, fodder, and fruit. Therefore, the grains are firstly submitted to a first stage of parallel grains flow and reverse crossed air flow in order to standardize the different degrees of humidity of the grains and of their impurities. In a second moment, these grains are submitted to a sinuous grains flow and radial air flow in the form of oblique “Z”. Such implementation in drying processes of grains upgrades substantially the drying time and the energy spent for such process, generating in this way profit for the food industries.

  • Patent number: 10139159
Abstract: Infrared air float bar for use in floating and drying a continuous planar web of a material in a dryer. Direct radiated or reflected infrared electromagnetic energy from an infrared light source in a removable channel assembly accelerates drying, or evaporation of solvents, or curing of web material passing in proximity to the bar, either by infrared electromagnetic energy, or in combination with convention airflow. The infrared source is cooled by pressurized air passing through an interior portion of the removable air bar channel assembly, and the air is further conducted into fluid contact with the web in an air gap between the emitter and web to promote convective heat transfer and to contribute to the air pressure field supporting web flotation. The removable channel assembly is configured for replacement of the infrared emitter and to allow the setting of the pressurized cooling air flow to the optimum level.
