  • Patent number: 4117880
Abstract: An improvement in casting machines in which the molten metal solidifies inside the groove of a wheel, consisting of replacing the steel band generally used for covering the groove by a double band. A first band of copper or of an alloy which is a good conductor of heat is used for dissipating heat but is not under any tension. The tension is provided by a steel band in two parts which bears on the sides of the copper band and keeps it in contact with the casting wheel. The invention applies in particular to the casting of blanks of charged aluminum alloys for the production of machine wire.

  • Patent number: 4021014
Abstract: A form for concrete which has inner and outer walls spaced apart. Each wall is formed by a plurality of vertical elements abutting each other vertically. • Patent number: 3954377
Abstract: A textured mold for vertically casting concrete wall slabs. The mold has one mobile vertical form wall mounted on a supporting carriage which runs along a track and a stationary vertical form wall rigidly anchored to a concrete foundation. Each form wall has a textured mold liner permitting various patterns to be impressed upon the surface of the concrete slabs. The carriage of the mobile form permits the mobile form to be removably connected to the stationary form. This concrete mold permits vertically casting concrete wall slabs with textured surfaces formed into the wet concrete.
