  • Patent number: 5722921
Abstract: A range limiting device for use in an exercise machine having a cam and an input arm fixed to a shaft, wherein the shaft is pivotally mounted to a frame. The range limiting device includes a cam arm pivotally mounted to the cam arm so as to maintain a tether substantially tangential to the outer perimeter of the cam. A detent pin mounted to the cam arm selectively locks the orientation of the cam arm with respect to the cam. A stop cam is pivotally mounted to the frame coaxial with the shaft and includes a stop member positioned to interfere with the rotation of the input arm. The orientation of the stop cam is locked by a detent pin mounted to the frame.

  • Patent number: 5573483
Abstract: The knee weight for abdominal exercise is intended to be used as two identical units, with one unit placed over the area of each knee of a user while the knee is bent. Each unit has weight pockets to mount on opposite sides of a user's knee. Each weight pocket is capable of holding one or more weights. There is an upper adjustment strap that is placed over the front of the thigh; and a lower adjustment strap that is placed over the front of the shin. These adjustment straps adjust. There is a stabilizing strap that is behind the knee to secure the exercise device to the leg during use in length to accommodate different users.

  • Patent number: 5470299
Abstract: An exerciser includes first and second base sections which are adjustable with each other along a longitudinal direction thereof, a frame extending upwardly from the first base section, and a bench device. A disc is pivotally mounted to the frame. A handle is pivotably mounted to the disc to pivot therewith for operating a resistance device and is retained in a desired angular position relative to disc. The bench device includes a substantially L-shaped first member having a first end pivotally mounted to the second base section and a second end, a second member having an end pivotally connected to the second end of the L-shaped first member and having an element mounted to a mediate section thereof, and a substantially L-shaped third member having a first end pivotally connected to the frame and a second end pivotally mounted to the element of the second member. By such an arrangement, the bench device may be adjusted to any desired status.
