Abstract: The application provides a resource configuration method including: determining, by a network device, N downlink virtual carriers or determining N downlink virtual carriers and M uplink virtual carriers, where the N downlink virtual carriers are configured in a same cell, or the N downlink virtual carriers and the M uplink virtual carriers are configured in a same cell, and the cell includes at least one carrier, and the N downlink virtual carriers correspond to a same parameter set, or the N downlink virtual carriers correspond to a same parameter set, and the M uplink virtual carriers correspond to a same parameter set, N>1, and N?M?1; and sending, by the network device, configuration information to a terminal, where the configuration information is used to configure the N downlink virtual carriers or used to configure the N downlink virtual carriers and the M uplink virtual carriers.
Abstract: Method of performing a random access procedure between a User Equipment, UE, and a radio access network, wherein two access nodes comprise different sets of signature sequences, wherein said signature sequences are used, by said access nodes, to differentiate requests coming from different UEs, said method comprising the steps of receiving a random access request from said UE, wherein said random access request comprises a signature sequence, determining that said random access request is intended for said first radio access node based on said signature sequence comprised by said request, receiving, from a second access node, said random access request, thereby indicating that said second radio access node has also received said random access request from said UE, and sending a response based on said received random access request from said UE and based on said random access request received from said second radio access node.

Abstract: Methods, devices and systems for allocating spectrum in a wireless local area network. A bit representation of the availability or unavailability of a plurality of sub-bands of a portion of frequency spectrum is generated and included in a physical layer protocol data unit, which is transmitted to a target station to allocate resource units within the portion of frequency spectrum for use by the target station. The sub-bands may be 20 MHz spectrum sub-bands for large-size resource units, or the portion of frequency spectrum may be a single 20 MHz band sub-divided into multiple sub-bands for allocating small-size resource units. A station that receives the data unit may decode the bit representation and use the allocated resource units to communicate over the wireless local area network.

Abstract: A resource assignment determiner determines a resource for a PDSCH intended for an MTC terminal, and a transmitter transmits an MPDCCH that includes resource assignment bits indicating the resource thus determined and transmits the PDSCH using the resource thus determined. The MPDCCH is a PDCCH intended for the MTC terminal. The resource assignment bits are associated with a resource that is used when the MPDCCH and the PDSCH are transmitted in the same subframe and a resource that is used when the MPDCCH and the PDSCH are transmitted in different subframes.

Abstract: A wireless single-frequency-channel, full-duplex, full-time transmit and receive communication node includes an antenna that transmits a transmit signal over a wireless transmit channel and that receives a receive signal over a wireless receive channel. A communications processor includes a first port electrically coupled to the antenna and a second port electrically coupled to a transmit path where the transmit path connects the second port to the first port. A third port of communications processor is electrically coupled to a receive path that connects the first port to the third port. Abstract: Technologies directed to multi-tier coordinated dynamic frequency selection (DFS) service in a multi-tier wireless network are described. Abstract: An electronic apparatus, method, and computer-readable medium implement smart channel selection to track client devices that connect with a LAN over time, store a historical number of client devices that connect with the LAN and a channel number on which the apparatus operated each connection with the client devices, and determine whether a number of probes/association requests on a current channel in the 5 GHz band on which the apparatus is operating is less than a predefined threshold value. When the number of probes/association requests on the current channel in the 5 GHz band on which the apparatus is operating is less than a predefined threshold value, smart channel selection is performed to select a new channel in the 5 GHz band, and the 5 GHz SSID of the apparatus is broadcasted on the new channel.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a set of component carriers (CCs) for the UE and a respective frequency range (FR) for each CC of the set of CCs. Each CC-FR pairing may be associated with a respective priority of a set of priorities. The UE may initiate a plurality of timers, where each timer of the plurality of timers may correspond to a respective CC-FR pairing. After expiration of a timer of the plurality of timers, the UE may measure one or more reference signals of a subset of the set of CCs based at least in part on a capability of the UE and a priority of the respective CC-FR pairing associated with the timer.

Abstract: Techniques for dynamic bandwidth expansion are provided. A first set of channel quality metrics is collected, by an access point (AP) communicating using a first bandwidth, for an expanded bandwidth beyond the first bandwidth. A second set of channel quality metrics for the expanded bandwidth is received from one or more stations. An available portion of the expanded bandwidth is then determined based on the first and second sets of channel quality metrics. Abstract: The examples described herein provide for a Secondary Base Station (SeNB) Change procedure in a system configured to provide Dual Connectivity, where the SeNB Change procedure does not include the RACH procedure. As part of the SeNB Change procedure, a UE device generates a request that the Target Secondary base station (Target SeNB) is to send a Media Access Control (MAC) message to the UE device. In some examples, the request can be configured to specify a particular MAC Control Element that the Target SeNB should send in response to receiving the request. Upon receipt of the request, the Target SeNB transmits the requested MAC message to the UE device, along with TA information, if required. The UE device determines when the SeNB Change procedure has been completed, based at least partially on when the requested MAC message is received from the Target SeNB.
