Abstract: A device for connecting two rakes to gather and/or pick up loose materials is disclosed. The device has a first handle attachment and a second handle attachment. The first handle attachment has a first projection and a first recess. The second handle attachment has a second projection and a second recess. The first projection is removably receivable in the second recess and the second projection is removably receivable in the first recess to join the first handle attachment to the second handle attachment. When the first projection is received in the second recess and the second projection received the first recess the first and second handle attachments are positionable in an open position where the first bottom end of the first attachment is spaced apart from the second bottom end of the second attachment and a closed position where the first bottom end is adjacent the second bottom end.

Abstract: A quick connect mower blade system includes a blade bolt inserted into the top end of a hollow spindle and threaded into a collet having an upright inserted into the lower end of the spindle. The collet has a head that is aligned substantially perpendicular to a hole in a blade holder if the blade bolt is tightened onto the collet to clamp a mower blade between the spindle and blade holder.

Abstract: A harvesting system for harvesting stemmed plants having elongated stems and including bulbous growth disposed at the top of the stems. The harvesting system includes a harvesting unit having a plurality of gripping elements; a cutter for harvesting the plants; and a divergent zone defined by gripping elements for vertically aligning the harvested plants. The harvesting unit further includes a transfer zone defined by gripping elements having another cutter for cutting the harvested plants to selected size, and includes a rotating brush for removing unwanted foliage from the harvested plants, a pair of belts disposed aft of the transfer zone for receiving selectably sized, harvested plants from the transfer zone and a belt-like table disposed aft of the pair of belts for receiving the selectably sized harvested plants from the pair of belts for packing and shipping the plants from the field.

Abstract: A control sensor assembly for an agricultural harvester is provided. The control sensor assembly includes a linkage for connection to a header height control system, a bushing, a mount and a sensor mounted to the mount. The bushing includes a first end connected to the linkage and a second end housing a magnet. The mount includes a body having a through hole extending from a first surface to a second surface opposite the first surface for receiving the bushing and a first rotational stop about the first surface and adjacent the through hole. The sensor is spaced from the second end of the bushing. The control sensor assembly according to the subject application is designed to provide an improved mount for the control sensor assembly that utilizes a single mount to perform multiple functions.

Abstract: A cutting assembly is described that comprises two oppositely facing sidewalls and two loading systems, each loading system comprising a transverse member that extends between and through the sidewalls, and two trays of knives. Rotation of a transverse member causes the associated tray of knives to move between a loaded and an unloaded position, wherein the loaded position the knives protrude into a crop collection channel of a harvester for the cutting of crop material.

Abstract: The invention disclosed is a plant maintenance apparatus to move along a plant or line of plants. The apparatus has a support frame to connect to a prime mover to move the apparatus. A sensing member is mounted from the frame, to contact and be deflected by the plant as the apparatus is moved. A sensor to senses the deflection and if the deflection is above a threshold it issues a signal to an actuator. There is a near ground member, mounted from and moving with the frame. The near ground member acted on by the actuator, so that when the threshold is met the near ground member moves to a first position away from the plant when immediately adjacent thereto, and then moves to a second position once past said plant.

Abstract: An apparatus for harvesting small fruit detached from fruit trees or bushes has a tarpaulin, a winding shaft fastened to a proximal end of the tarpaulin, a first bearing structure supporting the winding shaft, a rotary drive motor coupled to the winding shaft, at least one band having bending and shape memory, a winding drum connected to one end of the band, and a second bearing structure supporting the winding drum. The band has an end connected to the distal end of the tarpaulin. A distal end of the band pushes the distal end of the tarpaulin so as to move the tarpaulin away from the winding shaft so as to deploy the tarpaulin above the ground.

Abstract: A harvester having a frame, an agitating system and a product gathering system. The frame has a central portion configured to receive and pass plants therethrough. The agitating system is positioned within the central portion that has a first side agitating assembly further comprising an axle with an axis of rotation and a plural of axial wands extending axially outwardly therefrom in a spaced apart configuration. The axle has a first end which is both above and outboard of the second end and the axle is angled relative to a vertical plane bisecting the frame body from front to back thereof. The axial wands can be agitated. The product gathering system includes an outer guide wall positioned below the rotary agitator assembly. The outer guide wall is angled relative to a vertical plane bisecting the frame body from front to back thereof.

Abstract: A lawnmower accessory assembly includes an extension arm having an inboard end configured for attachment to a lawnmower and an outboard end configured for supporting a trimming assembly operable for cutting or trimming vegetation. The trimming assembly includes a mounting sleeve fixedly mounted on the outboard end of the extension arm, an inner shaft disposed within the mounting sleeve, a rotatable annular pulley secured at one end of the inner shaft and a rotatable trimming disc having at least one trimming member secured at the opposite end of the inner shaft. The pulley of the trimming assembly is operably coupled with a drive pulley provided on the lawnmower by a drive belt such that rotation of the drive pulley in turn rotates the pulley and the trimming disc of the trimming assembly so that the at least one trimming member cuts or trims the vegetation.

Abstract: A height of cut control system on a mower deck includes a linear actuator connected to the lift linkage. A height of cut dial has a plurality of operator-selected desired cutting heights, and a deck height control is connected to the electronic controller that commands the linear actuator to lower or raise the mower deck to the desired cutting height when the deck height control is in a down position or an up position. A deck height display provides visual feedback of operator selected cutting height and actual cutting height. If the actual height is at least a specified amount off the operator selected cutting height, the electronic controller may automatically adjust the mower deck by commanding the linear actuator to move the mower deck to the desired cutting height.

Abstract: A combine harvester including a grain pan arranged to catch a crop stream from threshing or separating apparatus. The grain pan is driven in an oscillating manner to convey the crop stream rearwardly to a rear edge. A cleaning unit including a fan for generating a cleaning airstream which is directed under the rear edge of the grain pan. The grain pan comprises includes a transversely corrugated surface and longitudinal gullies having a curved profile for compensating for side-hill operation.

Abstract: A lightweight snow groomer designed to be towed behind a snowmobile, ATV, or UTV with an adjustable v-plow. The snow groomer includes multiple links pivotably connected to its drawbar assembly and the plow that allow the plow to swing upwardly and rearwardly under the drawbars. The snow groomer preferably includes a front link adjacent to its coupler for leveling the plow/pan assembly and for vertical adjustment to accommodate different hitch heights. The snow groomer also ideally has a lift assembly with a threaded arm that screws up and down the lift assembly. The linkage may include a slotted link segment that pivotably connects to the plow and allows the plow to float on compacted snow or leave the desired amount of snow, depending on the adjustment, for compacting. The preferred v-plow can swing upwardly and rearwardly when striking obstacles during operation of the snow groomer.

Abstract: A three headed cutter is comprised of a cover assembly under which are located the three cutting head assemblies. The cover assembly, along with the cutting head assemblies, are designed so as to rotate around impediments. the cover assembly pivots around a central axis. The three headed cutter has a connecting member which connects it to the tractor by way of an articulated boom arm. The boom arm connects with the connecting member at a pivot point, from which a biasing means is also connected. The biasing means and pivot point allow for the cover assembly to take in the shock of hitting an impediment by having the boom arm move at its pivot point so as to move the cover without damage just before the start of its rotation around the impediment. Each of the three cutting head assemblies consists of a twin blade member and a caster. The caster rotates with the cutting head assemblies.

Abstract: The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a method that receives at a server a first request to rebroadcast a first sponsored content item that was displayed on the social network to the first user to a second user. A second request to display at least one sponsored content item to the second user when the second user accesses an electronic document associated with the social network is received at the server. The first sponsored content item is retrieved for rebroadcast from one or more sponsored content items indicated for rebroadcast to the second user. A plurality of interest categories may be displayed to the first user through the graphical user interface. Upon receiving the indication of the first category, a plurality of sub-categories of the first interest category may be displayed to the first user through the graphical user interface. Additionally, an indication of at least one selected sub-category chosen from the plurality of sub-categories may be received from the first user. A first plurality of content items based on the at least one selected sub-category may be selected. The first plurality of content items may be provided to the first user through the user interface.

Abstract: An ad server and syndication system provides a browsable hierarchy of categories, such as topical ad categories and/or product categories, with which specific ads may be explicitly associated. A first user interface provides functionality for advertisers to browse the hierarchy, and to post ads in association with specific ad categories. A second user interface provides functionality for web site operators wishing to host ads on their web sites to select or exclude specific categories of ads to host. In one embodiment, a web site operator that sells a particular category of products can locate that product category within the hierarchy, and then select from a corresponding list of product-related-services that may be advertised on web pages associated with such products.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing advertisements. To maximize revenue, a plurality of ad networks are tiered based on their pricing data, and more preferably, their cost per thousand impressions (CPM). Each tier includes a pricing data range. Periodically, the system increases and decreasing frequency caps for the plurality of ad networks to raise the plurality of ad networks to a higher tier. Frequency caps are increased for an ad network when the CPM for the ad network is above the CPM range for the ad network's tier. The frequency caps are decreased for the ad network when the CPM for the ad network is below the CPM range for the ad network's tier. For each ad network request received, the system traverses through the tiers of the plurality of ad networks for an ad network that is capable of serving an ad based on the ad network's frequency cap.

Abstract: Identification technology, in which a request related to generating conveyable information for a particular vendor is received based on user input provided by a particular user and mappings stored in a database are searched using an identifier associated with the particular vendor. At least one rule useful in generating conveyable information for the particular vendor is determined based on results of the searching and identification information for a type of conveyable information requested by the particular user is determined. Conveyable information is generated by applying the determined at least one rule to the determined identification information. A mobile device outputs the generated conveyable information to enable identification of the type of conveyable information requested by the particular user to a system of the particular vendor through the output of the mobile device.
