Abstract: Aqueous cathodic electrocoat compositions with improved edge protection and methods for preparing such electrocoat compositions are described herein. In an exemplary embodiment, an electrocoat composition includes water; a crosslinkable resin comprising a binder of an epoxy-amine adduct and a crosslinking agent; a neutralizing agent for neutralizing the epoxy amine adduct, wherein the neutralizing agent has a pKa value of greater than 0; and a pigment paste. The pigment paste may comprise silica, barium sulfate or silica and barium sulfate.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a tire layer (e.g., tire tread or carcass layer) having a rubber composition including a pyrazolone-based compound in combination with reinforcing filler material and optionally a processing aid, and tires using the same, that provides desirable tire performance properties, such as improvements in tear strength without negatively impacting stiffness or hysteresis. In one embodiment, the tire layer includes a rubber composition having an elastomer (e.g., natural or isoprene rubber), a pyrazolone-based compound, reinforcing filler selected from carbon black only, carbon black/silica blends only, or graphene, functionalized graphene, carbon nanotubes, functionalized carbon nanotubes or mixtures thereof further optionally with carbon black, and an optional processing aid, such as a metal glycerolate, in desirable amounts to provide enhanced tear strength without negatively impacting stiffness or hysteresis.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a first data set comprising embeddings of first and second types, generating a fixed adjacency matrix from the first dataset, and applying a first stochastic binary mask to the fixed adjacency matrix to obtain a first subgraph of the fixed adjacency matrix. The method also includes processing the first subgraph through a first layer of a graph convolutional network (GCN) to obtain a first embedding matrix, and applying a second stochastic binary mask to the fixed adjacency matrix to obtain a second subgraph of the fixed adjacency matrix. The method includes processing the first embedding matrix and the second subgraph through a second layer of the GCN to obtain a second embedding matrix, and then determining a plurality of gradients of a loss function, and modifying the first stochastic binary mask and the second stochastic binary mask using at least one of the plurality of gradients.
