Patent number: 6843035Abstract: A deflection wall. Channel-shaped studs are physically attached to a channel-shaped sole plate, but floatingly attached to a channel-shaped top plate. The webs, of the sole and top plates have tabs stamped therefrom which are spaced longitudinally therealong at predetermined intervals so as to provide for desired spacing of the studs. A tab of the sole plate is physically attached to either the web or a flange of the stud and a tab of the top plate abuts against, but is not physically attached to, one side of the web of the stud so as to allow the stud to axially float. To prevent lateral floating of the stud, either an angle plate sandwiches the web of the stud between the tab of the top plate and itself, the flanges of the stud are cut and wrapped around, so as to abuttingly engage against, the tab of the top plate, or the tab of the top plate is split heightwise into a pair of tabs that straddlingly engage the web of the stud.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2003Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Inventor: William J. Patent number: 6811128Abstract: A product display bracket on which product packages, particularly blister pack packages, can be mounted is formed with a head portion that is configured to present a dimension which is larger than the conventional opening on a blister pack product package. The head portion restricts movement of the product packages off the product display bracket in a manner that only one product package can be removed at a time. The enlarged head portion will also restrict movement of the product packages off the support member when the support member is angled downwardly to facilitate the automatic movement of the product packages toward the head portion when the front product package is removed from the support member. Preferably, the head portion is formed as a triangularly shaped member with the hypotenuse oriented perpendicularly to the flow of product packages off the support member.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2003Date of Patent: November 2, 2004Inventors: James E. Patent number: 6793189Abstract: A small, no-tools-required device, for example constructed of weather and UV resistant glass-filled nylon, that is inserted into the gaps between the deck boards of any conventionally constructed outdoor deck, then turned 90° like a key and released. Once tension is applied to the device through an attachment, for example using an elastic strap, a locking tab engages against the underside of the deck boards and the stabilizer tab at the opposite end of the device from the attachment prevents the device from twisting. The device can then be used to secure any items on the surface of the deck and prevent unexpected shifting or moving due to wind, weather, or any other unforeseen force. It is installed or removed in seconds and causes no damage to the deck itself.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2003Date of Patent: September 21, 2004Inventor: Kenneth J. McKay
