Abstract: During operation, an electronic device receives, from a second electronic device in a network, a request for testing. In response, the electronic device set ups a video call with a video-call service. Then, the electronic device provides, to the second electronic device, an invitation for the video call. When the electronic device receives a notification (e.g., from the video-call service) that the video call has started, the electronic device provides content via the video-call service for the second electronic device. Next, the electronic device obtains communication-performance metrics associated with communication via the network during the video call and video-service performance metrics associated with the video call. Furthermore, the electronic device diagnoses a type of problem experienced at the second electronic device during the video call based at least in part on the communication-performance metrics, the video-service performance metrics and a pretrained machine-learning model.

Abstract: A first IP address is set to the host, and a second IP address is set to the storage card. A storage card includes a storage device and a processor for executing firmware. The host converts a first Ethernet packet including an ISP-related request and destined for the second IP address into an NVMe request according to an NVMe protocol, and transfers the NVMe request to the storage card. The firmware parses the NVMe request to perform the ISP-related request.

Abstract: Systems and method for improved creation and management of distributed file systems are provided. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes creating a plurality of containers within a cloud computing environment and executing, within the plurality of containers, a plurality of gateways for a distributed file system. Exports of the distributed file system may be assigned to a subset of the plurality of gateways. The exports may correspond to an exclusive subset of the distributed file system. The method may also include responding to requests to access exports of the distributed file system using containers executing gateways assigned to corresponding exports of the distributed file system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for provisioning a hosted computing environment in accordance with customer requirements relating to a service. In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method is provided. The method includes generating a graphical interface on a computing device and receiving input corresponding to an indication of one or more requirements, wherein the input is received using the graphical interface, and wherein the one or more requirements correspond to a hosted computing environment. The method further comprises converting each indication of the one or more requirements into one or more entries of a provisioning template, wherein the provisioning template includes multiple entries, and wherein the provisioning template is associated with the hosted computing environment. The method further comprises providing the provisioning template to a provisioning program to provision the hosted computing environment.

The allocated storage may be tracked and/or retrieved based on location metadata indicative of the allocated storage that may be stored at a cache and/or metadata repository.

Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to message distribution in a contact center. Messages generated by an administrator and/or by a trained model processing data from customer interactions with the contact center are stored in a message queue. A desktop application running on a representative device and hosted by the contact center queries the message queue for messages intended for a representative using the representative device. Messages intended for the representative are automatically displayed on the representative device, e.g., on the desktop.

Abstract: A data transmission method includes obtaining a user equipment route selection policy (USRP) rule parameter of a started application, establishing a first protocol data unit (PDU) session corresponding to the started application with a network device through the modem module when no PDU session parameter matching the URSP rule parameter exists in the mapping table, adding an interface name of the first PDU session to the routing table, adding a mapping relationship between the session parameter of the first PDU session and the interface name of the first PDU session to the mapping table, and routing to-be-transmitted data of the started application to the first PDU session by using the interface name of the first PDU session.

Abstract: A microphone of a primary client device is used to capture audio for a remote conference participant. During the conference, audio is sampled from the microphone of the primary client device and from microphones of one or more secondary client devices at the same location as the primary client device. Based on a score calculated for the audio sampled from the secondary client device being higher than a score calculated for audio sampled from the primary client device, the microphone of the secondary client device is selected for audio capture for the remote conference participant. The audio is output through conferencing software to which the primary client device is connected via a user interface tile for the conference without displaying a new user interface tile.

Abstract: A provisioning server for automated provisioning and associated methods are disclosed. The provisioning server extracts data from a data transfer instruction for a data provider addition based on a matching data transfer instruction template, and parses the extracted data in accordance with the matching data transfer instruction template to identify an account identifier. Data transfer information for an identified data provider and an identified account identifier from a data provider database are determined. The data provider database comprises data provider information comprising data provider names for a plurality of data providers registered with the provisioning server. A data provider record is generated and stored in a data provider list of the account in an account database. The data provider record includes the identified data provider name, identified account identifier and the data transfer information.

Abstract: An approach is disclosed that provides personalized two-way communication with a uniquely identified object and an AI agent. Information about the object in a context associated with a requestor is received to access to an object knowledge base. The information is analyzed to determine a unique reference for the object. A selected set of the received information and the object categorization may be sent to an object knowledge base populated with AI configuration parameters tied to uniquely identified objects. The object knowledge base is searched for the unique reference to determine a registration assessment. The registration assessment is one of registered and not registered. When the registration assessment is determined to be not registered, the object is added to the object knowledge base. After receiving an AI connection from the object knowledge base, the context associated with the requestor is sent to the AI connection.

Abstract: The method includes: receiving, by a first device, a first packet from a second device, where the first packet includes a primary scheduling identifier, and the primary scheduling identifier is used to identify that the second device has permission to select a path; determining, by the first device, a first path used to transmit the first packet; sending, by the first device, a second packet to the second device by using the first path, where the second packet includes a following identifier, and the following identifier is used to identify that the first device sends the packet by using a transmission path selected by a device other than the first device. This can ensure that a same path is used for bidirectional packet transmission between two communication parties while ensuring service quality, in a complex SD-WAN path selection scenario.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting multiple on-demand audio streams locally to web-enabled user devices. Primarily usable for local audio acquisition and instant redistribution in conference halls with translation booths and stadiums with commentators, the technology is scalable and can be tailored to suit any local acquisition and distribution of both digital and analog audio signals. The technology is reliant on the local network configuration and wireless coverage.

Abstract: Data can be placed by an edge node in a computing environment using multiple criteria in a placement policy. For example, a processing device of an edge node can receive a write request for storing a data object. The processing device can select first and second criteria from a placement policy based on a tag for the data object. The processing device can determine a set of remote components that fulfill the first criterion. The processing device can then identify, from the set, a destination component that fulfills the second criterion. The processing device can transmit the data object to the destination component.

Abstract: One disclosed example method includes receiving, by a video conference provider, video frames from a plurality of existing participants in a video conference; receiving, by the video conference provider, a request from a new user to join the video conference, and in response: generating, by the video conference provider, an instantaneous decoder refresh (IDR) frame; determining, by the video conference provider, one or more prior video frames previously acknowledged by each existing participant of the plurality of existing participants; generating, by the video conference provider, a benchmark frame for each of the plurality of existing participants based on at least one of the determined one or more prior video frames and the IDR frame; transmitting, by the video conference provider, the IDR frame to the new user; and transmitting, by the video conference provider, a message comprising the benchmark frame to each of the plurality of existing participants.
