Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods include a vehicle center console including a first surface configured to receive a mobile device thereon and a second surface facing the first surface and having a removable mobile device retaining apparatus mounted to the second surface. The mobile device is configured to be received between the first surface and the mobile device retaining apparatus. The mobile device retaining apparatus includes a body having a wall and a flexible contacting surface extending from the wall toward the first surface, a first retaining feature extending from the wall through a first aperture in the second surface, and a second retaining feature extending from the wall through a second aperture in the second surface. The flexible contacting surface can press the mobile device against the first surface to passively secure the mobile device in place, while also allowing ease of installation and removal of the mobile device.

Abstract: A coupling apparatus for a car door mechanically couples a first member having a first hole to a second member having a second hole at a position corresponding to the first hole. The coupling apparatus includes a stop portion configured to support the first member, a crossbar configured to support the second member and couple the second member to the first member when rotated to a final coupling position, and a shaft configured to support the stop portion and the crossbar and including a hook portion configured to hook the shaft to the first member at a temporary coupling position. The shaft is shaped to enter and rotatably pass through the first and second holes of the first and second members. The shaft is provided with an airtight member to maintain airtightness between the shaft and the first hole of the first member at the final coupling position.

Abstract: A method for blending new control points into the field is described. A more costly but conceptually simpler method, measuring the extant field and recreating a copy of that field interpolated with the actually desired value at a new control point is first described. Further, traditionally predicting the output of phased array systems involves taking each element and evaluating its contribution to the field. When focusing phased arrays, predicting the output and the fringing field is necessary for multipoint focusing and acoustic cloaking applications. In the limit of a large enough number of discrete transducer elements, the evaluation of a single approximation will inevitably outperform even a linear summation over the linear acoustic properties of the elements.

Abstract: Technologies and techniques for providing an already generated trajectory of a first motor vehicle for at least one second motor vehicle, for future travel along the trajectory via an assistance system. The trajectory is generated by the first motor vehicle and is transmitted to an electronic computing device of the assistance system that is outside the motor vehicle, and in which at least one first parameter characterizing the first motor vehicle is also transmitted to the electronic computing device. The already generated trajectory is evaluated, taking the first characterizing parameter into account, and it is determined whether the trajectory is suitable for the second motor vehicle, and if the already generated trajectory is unsuitable for the second motor vehicle, the trajectory being adapted for the second motor vehicle, taking a second parameter characterizing the second vehicle into account.

Abstract: A method for drilling a geothermal well in a subterranean zone includes drilling, with a drill string, a wellbore of the geothermal well in the subterranean zone. An inherent temperature of the rock adjacent a rock face at a downhole end of the wellbore is at least 250 degrees Celsius. While drilling, a drilling fluid is flowed at a temperature at the rock face such that a difference between the inherent temperature of the rock adjacent the rock face and the temperature of the drilling fluid at the rock face is at least 100 degrees Celsius.
