Abstract: An adapter for a quick-change system for changing attachments on a construction machine contains coupling elements arranged at a stipulated spacing from each other between two side walls for connection of the adapter to a quick changer. In order to provide improved protection from damage, the rear ends of the two side walls project rearwardly with respect to a back cover arranged between the side walls.

Abstract: A method for attaching an anchor to an end of a tensile member by inverting the assembly of anchor and tensile member and injecting pressurized potting compound. A length of filaments of the tensile member are placed within a cavity through the anchor. The anchor and filaments are placed in an inverted position, with the distal end of the anchor facing downward and the cable extending upward out of the anchor. If the anchor has an open distal end this is sealed. Liquid potting compound is injected into the anchor cavity and allowed to solidify. During the solidification process, a controlled translation (pulling) of the cable is preferably introduced.

Abstract: An expansion connector connecting two furniture panels includes a bolt having a cylindrical bolt shaft with a bolt head opposite an expansion cone. A plastics expansion sleeve is mounted displaceably on the bolt having at least two expansion tabs, each of which has a radially outwardly protruding collar. The expansion sleeve can be transferred, by a displacement relative to the bolt, from a non-expanded starting position into an expanded end position where the expansion tabs are radially outwardly expanded. In the starting position, the expansion tabs bear against the bolt shaft by a guide portion and divides the expansion tabs into a first tab portion facing the bolt head and a second tab portion facing away from the bolt head. The first tab portions are radially spaced apart from the bolt shaft, and, in the end position, the expansion tabs are each pivoted about the edge of the guide portion.

Abstract: Disclosed is an invention that relates to a glass construction for balustrade glazing and/or railing glazing or glass supports, comprising a composite element, which is designed as a glass laminate and consists of at least two glass panes, which are connected by an adhesive intermediate layer made of plastic. According to the invention, in particular at least one edge of the composite element has an edge protector, which is connected at least in parts to the respective end faces of the at least two glass panes of the glass laminate in such a way that the intermediate layer is protected from the effects of moisture.

Abstract: A wood post bracket used for securing a wood post to a rim joist and a reinforcing block directly linking to a substructure of a deck's wood framing system includes a planar base having a first end and a second end, a first flange extending from the first end of the planar base in a perpendicular orientation relative to the planar base, a second flange extending from the second end of the planar base in a perpendicular orientation relative to the planar base, and a hollow sleeve extending from the planar base in a perpendicular orientation relative to the planar base, wherein the hollow sleeve is positioned between the first end of the planar base and the second end of the planar base. The bracket comprises a direct link tying the top of the post to the deck sub structure, allowing for quick, easy, and secure, code-compliant post installation.

Abstract: A coupler for coupling an implement having first and second spaced apart parallel pins, to the arm of a vehicle. The coupler has a body for attaching to the vehicle arm, a first fixed jaw, a movable second jaw facing away from the first jaw, and an actuator to selectively move the second jaw towards and away from the first jaw. The first jaw includes a lip forward of the seat for the first pin. A first locking member is pivotable between a locking position, in which a portion of the locking member protrudes into the opening of the first jaw, and an unlocked position. A second locking member is pivotable between a locking position in which a portion of the second locking member constricts the opening of the second jaw, and an unlocked position. Movement of the second jaw causes movement of the first locking member.

Abstract: A motor case assembly includes a shaft and a motor case. The shaft has a connection end formed with a groove. The motor case has a perforation for assembling and connecting with the shaft. A hub section protrudes a rim of the perforation and has a forced outer face and an inner face surrounding the connection end and the groove of the shaft. An external means is used to apply an external force to the hub section so as to make the hub section tightly hoop the connection end of the shaft. By means of the external force, the inner face of the hub section is partially intruded into the groove of the shaft to form an intrusion body connected with the groove under a top wall inner face of the motor case. Therefore, the motor case and the shaft are securely connected with each other without easy detachment.

Abstract: A coupling system comprising a first androgynous coupler and a second androgynous coupler. The first androgynous coupler comprises a first male coupling section having a first recess extending radially and a first female coupling section comprising a first blocking element and a first positioning element. The second androgynous coupler comprises a second male coupling section having a second recess extending radially, where the second male coupling section is configured to form-fit with the first female coupling section. When the second male coupling section is form-fit with the first female coupling section, axial movement of the first positioning element causes the first blocking element to move radially into the second recess to couple the first androgynous coupler to the second androgynous coupler.

Abstract: The current document is directed to a two-way, by-passable, overrunning clutch incorporated within a mechanical prosthetic knee that provides functionality similar to a biological knee or incorporated in another articulated device, such as a robotic or orthotic articulated device or member. The currently disclosed two-way, by-passable, overrunning clutch allows for two-way free rotation when disabled, but, when enabled, prevents rotation in one direction while allowing free rotation in the other direction. In the mechanical prosthetic knee, the two-way, by-passable, overrunning clutch is enabled by application of a mechanical force and disabled by removal of the mechanical force.

Abstract: A wire mesh fence panel includes a top longitudinal portion of a wire mesh disposed inside of a top rail that is connected to a first post and a second post, a bottom longitudinal portion of the wire mesh that is disposed inside of a bottom rail that is connected to the first and second post, a first vertical portion of the wire mesh disposed inside of the first post, a second vertical portion of the wire mesh disposed inside of the second post, top rail links connecting the top rail to the first and second posts, and bottom rail links connecting the bottom rail to the first and second posts.

Abstract: A system and method for stretching and securing fencing includes a clamping member having a clamping channel, a clamping bar configured to be received within the clamping channel, and at least one fastener for securing the clamping bar to the clamping channel; a stretcher bar having a plurality of hook members for engaging the fencing, and at least one notched opening configured to receive a tensioning device; wherein the clamping bar and the clamping channel are correspondingly shaped, sized, and configured, such that the fencing is held secure between the clamping bar and the clamping channel when the clamping bar is secured to the clamping channel.

Abstract: A modular flexible fencing system, configured for installation by a novice without special tools, equipped with a novel flexible fencing material retention system which employs caged receivers that interface with spring-equipped auto-tensioning inserts disposed on the termini of each instance of flexible fencing material. The auto-tensioning inserts ensure that adequate tension is applied to the flexible fencing material with minimal adjustment. U-shaped posts are equipped with a slot that ensures the caged receivers are secured within the posts at the desired positions. Screws further ensure that the caged receivers are mounted in place securely.

Abstract: An apparatus (100), including: a hub (102) having a hub center (160); a securing mechanism (106) configured to fix the hub onto a flat surface; and an eccentric clamp disk (104). When the hub is fixed to the flat surface and nested in the eccentric clamp disk, an interlocking slip fit relationship exists between the hub and the eccentric clamp disk. The interlocking slip fit relationship enables infinite rotation of the eccentric clamp disk about the hub center and has a geometric interlock (170). The geometric interlock is configured so that when the eccentric clamp disk is pushed laterally into contact with the hub, the geometric interlock urges the eccentric clamp disk downward onto the flat surface.

Abstract: A piece of furniture, comprising a first and second furniture part, which are coupled to each other at an angle by means of mechanical coupling means. A female part is made as an oblong slot in the second furniture part with an insertion opening for introducing a male part. When coupling the first furniture part and the second furniture part to each other, the male part is brought from an insertion position in the insertion opening to an end position in the female part by moving the male part and the female part along each other. The male part is situated on a narrow end of the first furniture part and is positioned with its center line between the central plane of the first furniture part and the inner side of the first furniture part. The slot is realized in the inwardly directed flat side of the second furniture part.

Abstract: An irrigation system having a pipeline supported by one or more towers includes an improved truss connection system having a means for readily adjusting a crown height of the pipeline. A pair of cooperating members define a joint which selectively couples headed ends of adjacent truss rods together to form a truss rail of a truss system that supports the pipeline. A single fastener may fasten the cooperating members, a strut, and a cross-member together at the joint. A length of the truss rail may be decreased by holding the truss rods closer together. In an aspect, the headed ends of the adjacent truss rods are held closer together by inserting a shim in one of the joints. Decreasing the length of the truss rail increases the deflection of the pipeline and raises the crown height.

Abstract: A railing system is provided that illustratively includes a first rail and a second rail where the first rail is spaced-apart from the second rail. At least one cable that extends between the spaced-apart first and second rails. The at least one cable includes a stop sleeve disposed about the cable and positioned adjacent an end of the at least one cable. A cable tensioner having a body, a bore disposed through the body, and a stop surface is located adjacent an opening in the cable tensioner. An adapter that includes a body and a bore that extends into the body. The body of the adapter forms a surface located in contact with an underside surface of the top panel of the second rail between the first and second sidewalls of the second rail.

Abstract: A railing system is provided. The railing system can include a panel coupled to a post or wall with a tensioning device. The panel can include one continuous strand of cable threaded through, back and forth, two loom members. The loom members can be designed or configured to organize the cable so that the distance between each strand does not exceed spacing requirements in the building codes for railing balusters.

Abstract: A head suitable to be supported by a tripod or a monopod includes a rotatable ball contained within a body defining a socket where the rotatable ball includes a shaft extending therefrom suitable to attach to a retainment structure to support a device thereon. A first movable member selectively increases and decreases the ability of the ball to freely rotate. A terminal end of the shaft includes a retainment structure that includes at least four angularly arranged “V” shaped members protruding from the terminal end, where each of the “V” shaped members extends over 90 percent of the distance from a central opening defined by the shaft and an exterior peripheral surface defined by the shaft.

Abstract: A railing joint is provided. The railing joint is used for connecting a baluster to a rail, and the railing joint is capable of being inserted into an inner cavity of the baluster. The railing joint includes a main body and a washer. The main body includes a groove and a first joint, the first joint is provided with a first reinforcing rib, the first reinforcing rib is capable of abutting against an inner wall of the baluster, and one end of the main body is connected to the rail. The washer is sleeved in the groove and capable of abutting against the inner wall of the baluster in a sealed manner.
