  • Patent number: 10040013
Abstract: The present invention is a filter mechanism provided in a pump or the like, and the purpose thereof is to provide a filter mechanism that can eliminate foreign matter adhering to the surface of a filter and thereby can prevent clogging of filters because of foreign matter. According to the present invention, an area toward the inside in the direction of the radius of the filter is linked to an intake opening (235) of the pump (for example, a trochoid pump (22)) and, via the pump (22) to a pump ejection opening (trochoid pump ejection opening (215)), and an area between a filter (5) and (an inside wall surface (3i) of) a first casing (3) is linked to a low-pressure ejection opening (discharge opening (237)) for a working fluid.

  • Patent number: 10035106
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a membrane filtration element is provided. The element may include at least one feed spacer including a first set of parallel strands extending in a first direction and including a plurality of first strands having a first thickness and a plurality of second strands having a second thickness that is smaller than the first thickness. A second set of parallel strands may extend in a second direction that is transverse to the first direction. The second set of parallel strands may include a plurality of third strands having a third thickness and a plurality of fourth strands having a fourth thickness that is smaller than the third thickness. In one embodiment, the first and second sets of strands include alternating thick and thin strands, which reduce pressure drop in membrane filtration systems.

  • Patent number: 9828262
Abstract: A method of removing barium, calcium, strontium, and magnesium from frac flowback. A sulfate reagent and carbonate reagent are mixed with the frac flowback, causing barium, calcium, strontium, and magnesium to precipitate. The precipitants are crystallized and the resulting frac flowback and crystals are separated into relatively heavy solids and a stream of relatively light solids. The stream of relatively light solids is subjected to a further separation process that produces sludge that is recycled to aid in the crystallization process and a treated effluent which is recycled to the fracking operation or collected and used in another fracking operation.

  • Patent number: 9636610
Abstract: The brine filtering device includes a pre-filtering unit having first and second pre-filtration drums arranged to rotate coaxially about a horizontal axis and a safety filtering unit having a safety filter sleeve submerged in a tank and connected to an outlet. The first and second pre-filtration drums have their lower regions submerged in brine contained in a tub. An inlet hopper receives brine to be filtered and forces it into the first pre-filtration drum through an upper region of its filtering wall. Brine exits a lower region of the first pre-filtration drum and is collected in the tub. Brine enters into the second pre-filtration drum through a lower region of its filtering wall. Brine is poured into tank through an open side wall of the second pre-filtration drum.

  • Patent number: 9573825
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for advanced treatment of bio-treated coking wastewater. It employs polymeric ferric sulfate (PFS) and polyacrylamide (PAM) as the flocculant for the pre-treatment of bio-treated effluent. After the process of precipitation and filtration, the effluent is guided through an adsorption column filled with environmentally-friendly nano-composites whereby the advanced treatment of the bio-treated coking wastewater is achieved. When the absorption process reaches the breakthrough point, the adsorption operation will be stopped and sodium hydroxide solution is used as the desorption reagent for regenerating the nano-composites. The high-concentrated component of the desorption liquid is sent out for incineration or production of coal water slurry, meanwhile the low-concentrated component of the desorption liquid is used to prepare sodium hydroxide solution for the adsorption process of the next batch.

  • Patent number: 9512950
Abstract: The instant invention achieves uniformity of spills of granular material from fluid-entry faces of a panel bed by fixing the bed's position in space, and providing a constant push in a vertical direction on a deflector (preferably downward), the deflector moving in contact with the panel bed's fluid-exit wall when the bed is employed for filtration or countercurrent contacting. The constancy of the push causes the deflector's motion to occur at a constant combination of speed and displacement of the fluid-exit wall toward the fluid-entry faces of the panel bed, the combination causing a body movement of the granular material toward the fluid-entry faces, thereby causing spills of granular material to occur from the faces, renewing the faces. The constancy of the combination in the deflector's motion guarantees that the spills are uniform.

  • Patent number: 9428411
Abstract: A reactor for sewage treatment includes: an inner layer including a water distribution zone; a middle layer including a biological aerated filter, the biological aerated filter including a wall and a bottom including a water outlet; and an outer layer including an artificial wetland, the artificial wetland including a bottom including a water inlet. The water distribution zone, the biological aerated filter, and the artificial wetland are in the shape of a circle. The sewage is introduced into the water distribution zone via a water inlet pipe. The water distribution zone communicates with the biological aerated filter via a first overflow. The water outlet arranged on the bottom of the biological aerated filter is connected to the water inlet arranged on the bottom of the artificial wetland to allow the biological aerated filter to communicate with the artificial wetland.
