  • Patent number: 11463677
Abstract: An image signal processor includes a register and a disparity correction unit. The register stores disparity data obtained from a pattern image data that an image senor generates, and the image sensor includes a plurality of pixels, and each of the pixel includes at least a first photoelectric conversion element and a second photoelectric conversion element. The image sensor generates the pattern image data in response to a pattern image located at a first distance from the image sensor. The disparity correction unit corrects a disparity distortion of an image data based on the disparity data to generate a result image data, and the image senor generates the image data by capturing an object.

  • Patent number: 11412184
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting and processing events that occur at a gaming table in a casino environment. Camera streams associated with the table game are analyzed using lightweight, watchdog processes. When a certain event is detected, extended processes can be executed in order to provide additional information regarding the event. Such as approach can require a relatively limited amount of computing resources, while still providing relevant information to casino operators. The information can be used, for example, to track gameplay and provide player ratings.

  • Patent number: 11399123
Abstract: Improved fluoresced imaging (FI) and other sensor data imaging processes, devices, and systems are provided to enhance display of different secondary types of images and reflected light images together. Reflected light images are converted to a larger color space in a manner that preserves the color information of the reflected light image. FI or secondary images are transformed to a color range within the larger color space, but outside the color area of the reflected light images, allowing the FI or secondary images to be combined with them in a manner with improved distinguishability of color. Hardware designs are provided to enable real-time processing of image streams from medical scopes. The combined images are encoded for an electronic display capable of displaying the larger color space.

  • Patent number: 11395000
Abstract: The present embodiments introduce a new type of random access point in video bitstreams that can be used for random access operations but can be represented in encoded form at a lower bit-cost as compared to IRAP pictures. The random access point is a dependent random access point (DRAP) picture that is encoded and decoded using an IRAP picture and/or a previous, according to a decoding order, DRAP picture as sole reference picture(s) for the DRAP picture. The DRAP picture is encoded as a trailing picture that may be used for reference and constitutes a random access point in a video bitstream.

  • Patent number: 11303898
Abstract: A video decoder receives data from a bitstream for a block of pixels to be decoded as a current block of a current picture of a video. The current block includes a transform block. The video decoder determines a regular bin budget for the transform block. The video decoder entropy decodes the transform block as either regular bins using context modeling or as bypass bins without context modeling. A number of the regular bins used for entropy coding the transform block is limited by the determined regular bin budget regardless of whether the regular bins represent samples of (i) residual signals used to reconstruct pixel data of the current block or (ii) transform coefficients generated by transform operations of the residual signals. The video decoder reconstructs the current block based on the entropy decoded transform block.

  • Patent number: 11284077
Abstract: A method for signaling subpicture structures for coded video is provided. A video decoder receives data from a bitstream to be decoded as a sequence of video pictures. The video decoder receives from the bitstream subpicture specification for one or more subpictures in the sequence of video pictures. The subpicture specification identifies a position and a size for each subpicture by providing an index that identifies a coding tree unit (CTU) for the subpicture. The video decoder reconstructs each subpicture for the sequence of video pictures according to the subpicture specification.

  • Patent number: 11259026
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for parsing friendly and error resilient merge flag coding in video coding are provided. In some methods, in contrast to merging candidate list size dependent coding of the merge flag in the prior art, a merge flag is always encoded in the encoded bit stream for each inter-predicted prediction unit (PU) that is not encoded using skip mode. In some methods, in contrast to the prior art that allowed the merging candidate list to be empty, one or more zero motion vector merging candidates formatted according to the prediction type of the slice containing a PU are added to the merging candidate list if needed to ensure that the list is not empty and/or to ensure that the list contains a maximum number of merging candidates.
