    Abstract: In an injection valve for fuel-injection systems for internal combustion engines, the closure member opens in the direction towards the combustion chamber. It has an outer surface which widens towards the combustion chamber. Above the closure member, a swirl chamber is provided in the housing of the injection valve, fuel continuously rotating in said swirl chamber as a result of a continuously open return-flow connection to a valve outlet.
