  • Patent number: 10400977
Abstract: A headlight assembly with a headlight cover having at least one opening to allow a beam of light from a headlight to pass through the opening. The headlight cover may be secured using a snap-fit to allow a user to release and rotate the headlight cover about the hinge without the use of a tool. Once the headlight cover is rotated open, an operator may then adjust a plurality of fasteners located on a headlight sub-assembly to adjust the direction of the beam from the headlight. The headlight sub-assembly may further be rotated about a second hinge to replace a headlight or more extensive repairs.

  • Patent number: 10386571
Abstract: A system of light emitting diodes and lightguides can produce and distribute light in a luminaire. Two or more lightguides can be mounted adjacent one another so that their edges extend alongside one another. An optic can couple light between the light emitting diodes and the edges of the adjacent lightguides. The optic, which can be another lightguide in some examples, can mix, blend, or homogenize light received from the light emitting diodes and distribute the light among the adjacent lightguides. The optic can mix light emitted from multiple light emitting diodes so that light enters the adjacent lightguides uniformly along the edges of the lightguide, thereby eliminating or reducing any bright spots or visual inconsistencies. The optic can further allocate light uniformly among the adjacent lightguides.

  • Patent number: 10288260
Abstract: A turn signal for a vehicle has a blue LED as a light source, and an outer cover irradiated by the blue light. The outer cover includes a molded body of a polymeric material including phosphors dispersed therein that absorb blue light and emit light. By means of the present invention, it is possible to provide a turn signal for vehicles which has improved visibility and which imparts excellent visibility and sufficient luminous intensity over a wide angle. Further, because the entire outer cover surface-emits light, uniformity of luminous intensity is ensured without subjecting the outer cover to light scattering treatment, enabling as a result preventing glare caused by light scattering treatment, making this turn signal safe without being unpleasant for pedestrians and drivers of nearby vehicles. Furthermore, because no complex optical design is necessary, this turn signal saves space and can be arranged in a vehicle.
