Abstract: A spinning top toy including a body and a separate shaft portion. The body has a first hook and the shaft portion has a second hook. The body and the shaft portion are switchable between couplable and decouplable states depending on a relative rotational position. The first hook and the second hook are vertically aligned in the couplable state, and are vertically misaligned in the decouplable state. An urging unit brings an upper face of the first hook and a bottom face of the second hook into contact by an urging force of a spring in the couplable state. The body and the shaft portion enter the couplable state by turning and pushing. The body and the shaft portion engage each other by bringing the upper face of the first hook into contact with the bottom face of the second hook by the urging force of the spring.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, devices, and methods for using virtual or augmented reality in sports training, an exemplary method including detecting a position of a real ball, determining a trajectory for a virtual ball, the trajectory intersecting with the detected position of the real ball, displaying, by a virtual or augmented reality display device, a virtual pitch of the virtual ball along the trajectory intersecting with the detected position of the real ball, detecting, by a sensor included in a glove worn by the player, vibrations caused by an impact between a bat held by the player and the real ball, determining whether a level of the vibrations is within a predetermined range, sending a signal, to a speaker, when the level of the vibrations is within the predetermined range, to cause the speaker to emit an audible tone, and emitting, by the speaker, the audible tone.
Abstract: An object toss game has a ball connected to an elastic cord. The ball has a surface with fasteners. Two board assemblies are positioned at a distance apart. Pads are arranged on a top panel of each board assembly. Players toss the ball toward a pad on the board to remove the pad from the top panel. The ball then bounces from the top panel to remove the pad from the top panel. The first player to remove the pads from a board positioned opposite to the player wins the game. Alternately, players take turns tossing darts at regions on the board assemblies that are assigned points.
Abstract: The application provides for a system and method of playing an educational balancing game. An electronic game spinner is used to select a category to be tested, as well as a specific question within this category. Once the specific question has been selected, potential answers are shown on an electronic game board whereby a user must then use their body to select a circle containing an answer. The game board may also be constructed out of plastic, where the answers are fixed, however, the electronic game spinner scans a code on the game board so that appropriate questions are used with the printed answer selections.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a hand-held yo-yo ball capable of manually storing energy, comprising two rotating bodies and a connecting shaft, where each rotating body comprises a disk body and a shell; one disk body is internally provided with a clutch mechanism, the other disk body is internally provided with an energy storage mechanism; two ends of the connecting shaft are respectively connected with the clutch mechanism and the energy storage mechanism; the rotating body at the end where the clutch mechanism is located is manually rotated, energy is stored in the energy storage mechanism, then the meshing state of the clutch mechanism is manually removed, so that the energy storage mechanism releases the energy to drive the two rotating bodies to rotate synchronously. In this way, the yo-yo ball can be rotated without throwing a ball body of the yo-yo ball by a rope.
Abstract: In a first aspect, a construction toy element is provided and includes a body and a first circumferential row of arms extending from the body. The body has an axis, and has a first axial end and a second axial end. A first circumferential row of arms extends from the body. Each arm includes a root end and a free end, and has a first connecting member thereon that is configured for connecting the construction toy element to another construction toy element. The root end projects from the body in a direction that is angled towards one of the first and second axial ends relative to a normal direction to a surface of the body.
Abstract: A bobbling toy exciter is provided for gently tapping the bobbling portion of the bobbling toy to create a continuous movement of the bobbling portion. A motor drives a flexible arm in periodic movement which causes the arm to strike the bobbling portion, for example the bobbling head of the toy. A bob or other mass may be added to the end of the flexible arm to more effectively strike the toy. The flexible arm may extend transversely from the shaft of a rotating motor. The flexible arm may also transversely extend from a pivoting vertical rod. The present bobbling toy exciter gently creates movement and action in bobbling toys which would require manual excitation, so that the user may continuously enjoy the bobbling movement.

Abstract: A combined launching device for launching spinning tops, includes a first launching unit and a second launching unit. Each launching unit includes a casing. The casing accommodates a spinning top holder for holding a spinning top and a spinning mechanism, wherein the spinning mechanism is operated to spin and launch the spinning top by linearly and manually moving an operating member in a predetermined operating direction, wherein the casing of the first launching unit has a first coupler, and the casing of the second launching unit has a second coupler removably combined with the first coupler, and wherein the first launching unit is combined with the second launching unit such that the first and second spinning top holders face in the same direction and the predetermined operating direction of the operating member is the same for the first and second launching units.
Abstract: A method and device are provided that allow a competent skier to train and/or assist a trainee downhill skier with the acquisition of basic downhill skiing techniques. The trainee skier is tethered to an uphill instructing skier by a pair of reins attached to the trainee at the ankles, ski tips, or to the ski tips via ski tip handles. The instructing skier has substantially independent control over each tethering point to assist or train the novice skier to execute turns, control speed, and promote proper balance and stance for the maneuver and terrain at hand. The method and device may also comprise the use of adjustable ski tip couplers that limit divergence, and optionally convergence, of the trainee's ski tips. Handicapped skiers may be assisted and guided in downhill skiing using this method and device.
Abstract: A mechanism allowing the control of multiple orbiting bodies comprising: a bearing surface (306) which may or may not be integral to a handle (300); a rotatable section (308) free to move through 360 degrees upon the bearing; and, attached to the rotatable section, an array of two or more pendulums (314, 316) which are first whirled in coplanar orbits and subsequently, via changes made to the attitude of the axis of the rotatable section, in precessing, non-coplanar, non-chaotic orbits equaling the pendulums in number. The pendulums may be identical or have differing properties of length, weight, or aerodynamics affecting their relative tendencies to precess and may be decorated and incorporate elements which emit light and/or sound. In certain applications some or all of these characteristics of length, weight, and aerodynamics, as well as the visual and auditory components are customizable.
Abstract: The device includes an accelerometer for sensing movement in more than one direction, a sound chip for generating a pre-recorded sound in response to the sensed movement and a circuit for controlling the speed at which the pre-recorded sound is generated in response to the sensed movement, as a function of the direction of the sensed movement. The accelerometer senses the magnitude of movement. The sound chip generates sound in response to movement of a magnitude exceeding a pre-set level. The accelerator senses movement in at least two, preferably three directions. The sound chip includes an oscillator which determines the speed at which a pre-recorded sound is processed. The control means provides a control signal which sets the sound chip to generate the sound signal with a speed which is a function of the number of directions of sensed movement.
Abstract: The device includes an accelerometer for sensing a parameter of movement, such as direction and/or magnitude. A pre-recorded sound is played in response to the sensed movement. The speed and/or pitch at which the pre-recorded sound is played is a function of the sensed movement parameter. There may be one or more pre-recorded sounds from which playback is chosen. In one embodiment, hardwired circuits set the characteristics of the generated sound in accordance with the accelerometer output. In a second embodiment, the software selects which pre-recorded sound to play and sets the characteristics of the sound based upon parameters sensed by the accelerometer.
