  • Patent number: 6325213
Abstract: A two part plastic container for food products is provided having a main body and a base for being attached to the bottom of the body. The body has a frustoconical sidewall with a radial bottom rim and the base has a shorter frustoconical sidewall with a radial bottom rim. The rims are advantageous in that they allow stacks of the container bodies and bases to be processed with container feeding equipment presently in use as the rims provide distinct structure for being fed by the mechanical devices of the equipment. An energy director area is provided between the rims for ultrasonically attaching the container body and base. The container body has a smooth sidewall over substantially its entire extent without indentations or bumps for maximizing the printing area thereon.

  • Patent number: 6318575
Abstract: An egg server for cooked eggsin the shell. The server includes a bottom wall from which a sidewall extends, to form an interior which partially receives an egg. An inclined support face is formed within the interior to accommodate a wide variety of egg sizes, increasing the usefulness of the server. The lower outer face of the server may be of reduced size to nest within the interior of another of the egg servers, permitting multiple egg servers to be placed in a stacked position for storage. An upper rim of the sidewall may have a shape which mates with itself in an inverted position, permitting the upper rims of two egg servers to abut when the upper of the two egg servers rest upon the other egg server in an inverted relationship referred to as an insulating position. In this insulating position the two egg servers combine to encase an egg, retaining its heat prior to serving.

  • Patent number: 6315152
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for storing an extension tube with a spray can. With the can having an exterior surface and the exterior surface of the can having a cross-section, an embodiment of the invention comprises a sleeve having a cavity adapted to receive the tube. The sleeve is coupled to the can through two resilient wings on the sleeve where the interior surface formed by these wings has a cross-section that conforms to, and is smaller than the cross-section of the exterior surface of the spray can. Through a slot formed by the free ends of the wings, the can engages the interior surface of the wings by causing the slot to deform apart then return towards the original width of the slot as the can passes between the slot.

  • Patent number: 6308853
Abstract: Lids (10) of a substrate material (5) having a plastic film, featuring printing (6) on the outside, with respect to a container (1) on which the lid (10) is employed, and an inward facing sealing layer (8,9), for closing the container (1) which has a shoulder region (4). The inward facing side of the substrate material (5) features the sealing layer (8,9) in the form of a printed image, and the printed image corresponds with the shoulder region (4) of the container (1) and is in the form of a series of points (12). The printed image (12) which forms the sealing layer (8,9) and the printed pattern (12) may be deposited in the same printing machine in which the printing (6) on the substrate layer takes place. The printed image (11) enables easy removal of the lids (10) individually from a stack of lids in the packaging machine without having to depend on embossing of the lids.
