  • Patent number: 10600503
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a platform (e.g., Web-based) that enables basic and clinical research activities by integrating patient characteristics and clinical outcome data with a variety of high-throughput research data in a unified environment. While several rich data repositories for high dimensional research data exist in the public domain, most focus on a single data type and do not support integration across multiple technologies. The present invention in at least one embodiment includes a broad collection of bioinformatics and systems biology tools for analysis and visualization of four major “omics” types: DNA, mRNA, microRNA, and metabolites, as well as next-generation sequencing. The present invention helps facilitate systems medicine by providing easy identification of trends and patterns in integrated datasets and hence facilitate the use of better targeted therapies for cancer.

  • Patent number: 10573410
Abstract: A programmed computer system receives an imaging study of the patient including metadata associated with the study. The metadata are analyzed to determine an anatomic region represented by the study. Additional imaging studies for the same patient are requested and the metadata associated with the additional studies are analyzed to determine relevant studies for the same or adjacent anatomic regions. Once the relevant prior studies have been identified, the computer requests the images associated with the identified prior imaging studies including the associated reports for review by a physician or other medical personnel.

  • Patent number: 10566086
Abstract: Healthcare costs accumulated across a plurality of claims systems are managed using a centralized accumulator, which receives cost accumulator data for adjudicated claims from multiple sending claim systems. An accumulator record type is identified from the cost accumulator data and used to generate a cross-reference record. The record type includes an adjudicated claim. A routing message is generated for at least one receiving claim system according to the identified accumulator record type, the cost accumulator data received from the sending claim system, and an identity of the at least one receiving claim system. In response to sending the routing message to the receiving claim system, an acknowledgement is received, which is used to update the cross-reference record by the processor.

  • Patent number: 10504618
Abstract: Techniques for routing event data from a field device, such as an external defibrillator, to a selected subset of a plurality of possible destinations are described. The event data may include physiological data of the patient, such as a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG). The destinations may be associated with one of a plurality of patient treatment centers, and may include, as examples, computing device, printers, displays, personal digital assistants, or web-accessible accounts. In some examples, a server maintains user-configurable information or rules for at least some of the destinations, and uses the information or rules for determining whether event data received from a field device is routed to the destination. In some examples, the server may also make the routing determination based on an analysis of event data, such as a determination as to whether the event data indicates that the patient is suspected to be experiencing an acute myocardial infarction.

  • Patent number: 10489843
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method which allows a prospective insured to make an informed decision on healthcare insurance or a specific health care management decision by using a current medical profile to assist in their selection. Based on past medical care, as obtained from payor data, a number of different plans, each having different providers, different deductibles, different maximums, different reimbursement policies, etc., a person can make an informed decision. When a family has different payors for different family members, a proper blend of payors can be more easily selected since the payors (or a single payor) has a medical profile of each family member and also has information on providers in the network, prescription policies, deductibles, maximums, etc.

  • Patent number: 10475532
Abstract: In some embodiments, a social media communication may be obtained from a social media platform. The social media communication may include an anonymized version of a health care event information item associated with an event pertaining to an individual such that the anonymized version of the health care event information item refers to but does not specifically identify the event. The anonymized version may include a hash value of the social media communication in lieu of at least part of the health care event information. A link (including the hash value as a parameter related to a service request) may be generated based on the hash value of the social media communication. The service request may be provided to a service provider based on the link that comprises the hash value of the social media communication.

  • Patent number: 10460839
Abstract: Data mining of a dental image is described. In an example scenario, an aggregator service receives a dental image of a patient from a dental image provider. The dental image is processed with a machine learning (ML) anatomy dataset. An anatomy from the ML anatomy dataset is identified and matched to the dental image. The dental image is next matched and identified with a ML pathology and treatment dataset. A pathology and a treatment from the ML pathology and treatment dataset are matched to the dental image. Next, the dental image and the anatomy, the pathology, and the treatment associated with the dental image are inserted to a patient dataset associated with the patient. A cluster analysis of the patient dataset is performed with a cluster dataset to produce a correlated dental image information. The correlated dental image information is provided to a data mining entity and to compile a diagnostic aid for a user.
