Abstract: A vise including a body, a threaded shaft extending through or positioned adjacent to the body, and a block coupled to the body and spaced away from an axial end of the shaft. The vise further includes a pair of carriages carried on the shaft and configured such that rotation of the shaft about a central axis thereof causes each carriage to move axially along the shaft. The vise also includes a pair of clamps releasably coupled to the shaft and positioned adjacent to the block on opposite sides thereof. Each clamp is adjustable axially along the shaft to enable adjustment of an axial position of the shaft relative to the block.
Abstract: A ratchet wrench includes a body, a ratchet wheel rotatably and movably mounted in the body, and a pawl slideably received in the body and engaged with the ratchet wheel. The body is extended along a first longitudinal axis, and the ratchet wheel is extended along a second longitudinal axis. The ratchet wrench is operable between a first position and a second position. When the ratchet wrench is in the first position, the first and second longitudinal axes are collinear. When the ratchet wrench is operated to withstand a torque load and to move from the first position to a second position, the first and second longitudinal axes are parallel to each other.
Abstract: This invention relates to a broom including an elongate handle attached at one end to a head, a plurality of bristles attached to the head on a different side from the handle, and an auxiliary tool portion configured for use in any one or more of the group selected from scraping, cutting and scooping. The auxiliary tool portion is removably attached to the head and/or handle by means of a quick-release mechanism. The quick release mechanism may include a lever, skewer and stop, and the lever having a cam. The auxiliary tool portion may project forwardly from the broom and/or downwardly having a substantially rigid lower edge.
Abstract: A universal handle attachment for C-clamps. The handle attachment includes a rigid body having a first side to engage a C-clamp, and a second side opposite to engage a rotation tool. In the first side, a first channel and a second channel which are perpendicular with one another each are configured to receive a T-bar of the C-clamp. A center space in the first side at the intersection of the first channel and the second channel is configured to receive a top end of the screw. Each channel includes clip spaces on both sides of the center, and clips situated in the clip spaces. The clips each have an opening to secure the T-bar within the channels.
Abstract: A polishing method includes: a step of preparing a polishing device including a processing member and a suction mechanism configured to generate suction force; a step of setting a workpiece in the processing member; and a step of accelerating abrasive grains fed toward the workpiece to a predetermined speed with an air flow generated by operation of the suction mechanism, and polishing the workpiece by causing the abrasive grains to contact with or collide with the workpiece.

Abstract: A tool handle for holding multiple tools of different sizes during use. A wedge and body which, when placed together, creates a handle with a generally cylindrical shape and internal cavities for retaining hexagonal wrenches. A sliding wedge holds the hexagonal wrench and itself into place. A plurality of slots that allow each size tool to be indexed to the underside of the sliding member/wedge. There are two grouping arrangement of tools within the handle: a large group and a small group facing the opposite direction. The purpose for the two groups is to optimize the function of the wedge. If all of the tools were oriented in the same main slot then the smallest tools would not protrude from the end of the handle/body in a screwdriver mode to facilitate good function. Therefore the two groupings are arranged back to back to stabilize the tools laterally.
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a surface cleaning squeegee assembly and more specifically to a squeegee assembly mounted on a scrubber-dryer floor cleaning machine. The squeegee assembly includes a front squeegee having a number of spaced channels along a lower edge covered by seal flaps, and a rear squeegee having no channels. The front and rear squeegees define a vacuum chamber between them. Air, dirty water and surfactant are vacuumed into the vacuum chamber through the front squeegee channels for ultimate disposal. When the scrubber-dryer surface cleaning machine traverses over an uneven surface, the seal flaps close the channels to limit or eliminate any vacuum loss to the vacuum chamber.
Abstract: A hand tool for welding-torch maintenance, which can remove sputter adhering to a nozzle with sufficient working efficiency. The hand tool has a pair of metal stays turnably supported by a pivoting axis. The metal stays comprises grips handled by a user, 1st pinchings used for pulling a welding-wire, and 2nd pinchings used for removing sputter adhering to the nozzle. The 1st pinchings are configured so as to be inserted into the nozzle when the metal stays are closed. The 2nd pinchings have projections which are extended outside from the backs of the 1st pinchings and thrown out towards heads of the 1st pinchings. The sputter adhering to the inner-and-outer circumferential surfaces and end face of the nozzle are removed by inserting the 1st pinchings into the nozzle, inserting the end of the nozzle between the 2nd pinchings and the 1st pinchings, and moving the tool to scratch the sputter off the inner-and-outer circumferential surfaces and the end face of the nozzle.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a clamping system for supporting a work piece in position for receiving a machining operation and more particularly to a clamping system for supporting a work piece for receiving a machining operation whereby the work piece is held in position by exerting pressure against two or more locations along the surface of the work piece and that the supporting force at least one location is directed against the work piece in at least two vectors. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the clamping system of the subject invention is effective for supporting more than one work pieces in position for receiving a manufacturing operation.
Abstract: A polishing system includes a wafer support that holds a wafer, the wafer having a first diameter. The polishing system further includes a first polishing pad that polishes a first region of the wafer, the first polishing pad having a second diameter greater than the first diameter. An articulating over center arm assembly is pivotably attached at the pivot attachment area of the elongated base member. The assembly includes an offset over-center arm portion with a leverage handle on a first end and a pivoting adjustable strap portion on a second end. When the strap is attached to the axle or suspension member of a hub or axle the handle may be lowered and the base pivots wherein the strap end is moved upward and temporarily secured in the up position at full actuation of the handle for raising of the wheel for removal of the wheel.

Abstract: An oil filter tool used to remove filters and mitigate spillage of oil during and after removal. Sidewalls with grooves between form a substantial cylinder. Curved walls form the grooves, extend outwardly from the sidewalls, and provide some flexibility in the tool's diameter, thereby permitting use with filters other than those for which the tool was designed. A floor is joined by the sidewalls and curved walls to define a chamber in which the filter is mounted. A finger limits insertion of the filter to define a gap into which oil can flow. A funneling guide is angled at the end of the sidewalls opposite the floor to guide oil into the chamber. At least one of the grooves is closed at the guide end and there is an aperture to permit air flow out of the chamber.

A linear mass density of the flexible brush elements (18) is chosen such as to be lower than 50 g per 10 km, at least at tip portions, and an acceleration at tips of the brush elements (18) is set such as to be at least 3,000 m/sec2, at least at some time during another period of each revolution of the brush (3, 4) than the dirt pick-up period, namely a period in which the brush elements (18) are free from contact to the surface (11).
