  • Patent number: 9546831
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gun (1) with a barrel (4) which proximally delimits a firing chamber (6), and a slide (8) translatable between a forward configuration in which it closes the firing chamber (6), and a rearward configuration in which it is distanced from the barrel (4) to open said chamber (6). The orientation of the firing chamber (6) in the forward configuration and in the rearward configuration is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis (X). The gun (1) further comprises a locking device (10), which in the forward configuration acts so as to join the barrel (4) and the slide (8) and in the rearward configuration releases the slide (8) to enable its backward movement. The locking device (10) comprises at least one locking projection (12, 14) which, when the slide (8) and the barrel (4) are reciprocally released, guides the slide (8) in translation.

  • Patent number: 9513087
Abstract: A firearms attachment system for installation on a firearm with an integral rail system is provided with a riser assembly that secures to the weapon and a mounting base assembly. The riser assembly has a riser and two retaining bolts that secure it to the rail system by passing through the slots between the ribs of the rail system. The riser assembly has a central groove that receives the rail and shoulders that fully hold the rail when slidably engaged. The retaining bolts maintain the desired orientation. The mounting base assembly is comprised of the base and the locking assembly. The base has a groove to receive the riser. When the riser assembly is affixed to the rail assembly, the weapons system can be slidably engaged with the mounting base assembly. The lock assembly impels a retaining bolt into the bottom of the riser, to prevent removal of the weapon.

  • Patent number: 9506704
Abstract: An adjustable gas block for a gas operated firearm is provided that offers the user a means by which the volume of gas being directed to the host rifle's operating system can be adjusted. The adjustable gas block provides two positions of adjustment, with the position of use being selected based on whether or not a back pressure increasing device, such as a noise suppressor or a silencer, is mounted on the firearm. A first position provides the optimal volume of gas into the gas operating system for it to operate properly based on its factory configuration and in the absence of a back pressure increasing device. A second position is available for use when the back pressure is increased due to the presence of a back pressure increasing device. The second position exposes a port through which a portion of the volume of gas from the barrel is vented into a secondary chamber prior to being released into the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 9476679
Abstract: Bar armor currently provides a means of providing partial protection of vehicles and structures against certain types of Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs). However, the individual bars must provide enough strength to cut through or deform the outer ogive of an RPG and cause electrical contact with the inner ogive. This in turn imposes constraints on the overall effectiveness of the system and how light it can be made. These constraints can be eased by providing cross-attachments for the bars, provided that the cross-attachments themselves are mutually supporting and of low enough density and sufficient frangibility to avoid detonating the RPG when they are struck by the RPG nosepiece, which contains a piezoelectric element that causes the fuse of the RPG to function. Through this means, bar armor can be made lighter, more effective, and easier to see through.
