The method includes placing at least one object on the ice having two spaced apart elevated surfaces and lowering a baited hook into the water through the ice by unwinding fishing line from the reel.

The set of compound steering parameters are based on an optimized variable thrust and an associated electrical power balance to the optimized variable thrust. An optimized series of transfer orbits minimizes the electric orbit raising duration.
