Abstract: A battle simulation system includes a limb immobilization device. The limb immobilization device is operative for immobilizing a limb of a user in response to receipt of the control signal indicating a hit to the limb of the user. The limb immobilization device may at least partially immobilize the limb. The immobilization may be voluntary or involuntary.
Abstract: A method of automated ranking of segments of learning materials includes calculating a window similarity between first-window content of a first window in a learning material and second-window content of a second window in the learning material. The method may also include in response to the window similarity between the first-window content of the first window and the second-window content of the second window meeting a similarity threshold, generating a first segment that includes at least the first-window content and the second-window content. The method may include calculating a first-segment consistency measurement for the first segment based on a first-segment similarity between the first-segment content in the first segment and a knowledge point.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, computer readable media, and apparatuses for conveying chorded input to a user. Chorded input can be conveyed by one or more sequences of stimulation events, wherein each sequence represents a particular chorded input.
Abstract: An interactive exercise instruction system and method for providing interactive multimedia information to an exerciser and for providing the exerciser the ability to provide information back to the system before, during or after exercising. The interactive exercise instruction system and method generally includes receiving a selection of an exercise to perform on an exercise machine, displaying a visual indicator on the exercise surface indicating where on the exercise surface the exerciser is to make contact to perform the selected exercise, determining whether the contact area corresponds to a location of the visual indicator on the exercise surface and determining as to whether or not the exerciser is properly positioned to perform the exercise as signaled.
Abstract: A method for automatically predicting the cause of suboptimal shooting is provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: providing a plurality of good example reference data to an evaluation function; providing a plurality of bad example reference data to the evaluation function; obtaining training data of a trainee's shot dispersion data; obtaining training data from at least one sensor mounted on the trainee's gun; using the evaluation function to classify the training data as good or bad; and, displaying the classification on a screen as feedback.
