  • Patent number: 11351301
Abstract: Mandrels and elastomeric pumps for infusion assemblies are provided. For example, a mandrel may comprise a body extending over a length from a first end to an opposing second end; an outer diameter; a bore extending within the body; an inlet port defined near the first end; and a fill port defined between the first and second ends. The inlet and fill ports are in fluid communication with the bore. The outer diameter of the mandrel at a midpoint of the length is different than the outer diameter at each of the first end and the second end. In some embodiments, the outer diameter of the mandrel gradually transitions from a first outer diameter at the first end to a second outer diameter at the second end. An elastomeric pump may include an exemplary mandrel and an inflatable elastomeric bladder disposed on the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 11351298
Abstract: An irrigation function-equipped suction device including a suction device body, a suction path, an irrigation path and a flexible tube. With communication or closing of the suction path and the flexible tube by a first switch mechanism, the irrigation path and the flexible tube are caused to be closed off from each other or to communicate with each other by a second switch mechanism. The first switch mechanism is provided in a first section inside the suction device body, and the second switch mechanism is provided inside the irrigation path between the conversion mechanism and the flexible tube. The closing valve included in the second switch mechanism is disposed at a position on a side opposite to the flexible tube relative to the first switch mechanism and the conversion mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11318257
Abstract: A drug delivery device comprising or adapted to receive a drug-filled cartridge, comprising a piston rod adapted to be rotated by a drive member to thereby move the piston rod distally during expelling, dose setting means allowing a user to simultaneously set a dose amount to be expelled, and a releasable locking mechanism adapted to rotationally lock the drive member relative to the housing during dose setting. The device further comprises release means actuatable between a dose setting mode and an expelling mode, wherein the locking mechanism is released when the release means is actuated from a dose setting mode to an expelling mode.

  • Patent number: 11033665
Abstract: A needle assembly includes an outer cannula having a distal end portion, the distal end portion comprising a sharp bevel facilitating insertion of the needle assembly into a subject. The needle assembly further includes an inner cannula slidably disposed coaxially in the lumen of the outer cannula and movable between an extended position and a retracted position, the inner cannula having a blunt distal end portion extending beyond the sharp bevel of the outer cannula whenever the inner cannula is in the extended position. The needle assembly further includes a bias coupled to the inner cannula in a manner favoring automatic positioning of the inner cannula at the extended position. The needle assembly includes a valve located in fluid communication with the lumen of the inner cannula to allow fluid to exit the subject through the inner cannula, and to prevent ingress of fluid into the subject.
