Abstract: A temporary upright post includes rail supports for holding temporary lateral guardrails and a mounting system for mounting to a permanent upright stanchion of a permanent railing system for an elevated surface. The mounting system includes a longitudinal bore in the lower portion of the upright post that removably receives the stanchion with a loose fit, and the mechanical securement tightens the post to the stanchion to secure them together for use and loosens to release the post for installation and removal. Example embodiments also include a support bearing that is repositionable to contact and support the post in an elevated position on the stanchion, up and away from the elevated surface, or to disengage from mechanical interference with the stanchion so the post can be lowered to the use position.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus for use with a bed. The exercise apparatus may be configured with a base and a rod. The base is held in place by a leg of the headboard or a leg of the bed frame. The rod connects to the base and the rod extends through a space between the mattress and the headboard above a top surface of the mattress. At the top of the rod an elastic exercise band or other exercise accessory may be attached.

Abstract: An inner wheel skirt panel centrally located under the body of a vehicle reduces overall vehicle drag by inhibiting air from otherwise being displaced laterally inward by the passing wheels of the moving vehicle. Maintaining air to remain generally static while passing under the vehicle through the central open-space between the wheels increases the effective air pressure developed immediately behind the vehicle to reduce overall drag developed between the front and rear of the vehicle.

Abstract: A system for measuring rigidity characteristics that measures a CT value of a golf club head based on an acceleration occurring in an impactor when the impactor is caused to strike the golf club head. Correlation data is calculated by measuring a representative CT value of the golf club head, which is calculated based on CT values measured multiple times by changing the impact velocity of the impactor, and a test velocity CT value, which is a CT value when the impact velocity is set to a predetermined test velocity, for each of a plurality of the golf club heads of an identical model. A rigidity characteristic value measuring device measures the test velocity CT value for another golf club head of the model. A computer estimates the representative CT value of the other golf club head based on the test velocity CT value and the correlation data.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for semi-occluded vocal tract exercises comprises an elongated body having proximal and distal ends. A user can hold the proximal end between the lips. An inlet configured to receive air blown from the mouth of a user is disposed at the proximal end. An exit is disposed opposite to the inlet at the distal end. A channel extends from the inlet to the exit. Apertures of uniform or non-uniform dimensions are disposed over the elongated body. The apertures are located at different distances from the entry. The apertures and the exit are in fluid communication with the inlet. The user can adjust the resistance offered to a flow of air caused by the air blown to the required level by blocking one or more apertures or the exit. The same apparatus can offer a wide range of variable resistance as per the need of a user.

Abstract: A collapsible net for a game play is disclosed. The collapsible net includes a plurality of net-modules, each of the plurality of net-modules including a first-type coupler adjoining a left-side edge and a second-type coupler adjoining a right-side edge of each of the plurality of net-modules. The first-type coupler is configured to engage with the second-type coupler to couple the net-modules with one another, to thereby define an expanded length of the collapsible net.

Abstract: A quick release bow clamp comprising a hinged circular body having a vehicle mating flange and a nose cone mating flange configured to selectively attach to an access plate on the bow of an underwater vehicle and a nose cone for the same, respectively. The flanges of the bow clamp and the corresponding flanges of the access plate and nose cone may include an intermittent pattern of open and solid portions for weight reduction. The bow clamp may also include a quick release clamp having an adjustable draw latch configured to attach to a clip on the body of the bow clamp and a safety latch configured to prevent the draw latch from inadvertently disengaging with the clip.

Abstract: A system and method for waterproofing the interface between a base shoe and a panel is provided. The system includes a weather seal adapted to extend between an inner side wall of the base shoe and an adjacent surface of the panel to seal the gap therebetween. The system includes an elongate groove formed in the inner side wall at a downward offset angle and including a groove entrance that is accessible from directly above. The weather seal includes a foot adapted to be received into the elongate groove when the seal is configured to seal the gap. In this way, the seal may be installed from above and the seal's foot may be pressed into the groove via the groove entrance to secure the seal in place.

The foot or leg harness includes a harness portion to attach user. The harness is designed to attach to a means of resistance. The point of resistance is distributed into the harness through an angular strap portion so that resistance for the exercise is encompassing the foot or leg as a unit rather than one particular area.

Abstract: A device for exercising upper leg portions and hips which includes a frame, an arm pivotably connected to the frame, and a leg pad pivotably connected to the arm and configured to contact the user's leg during use. The frame having an arm strut and a seat strut. The seat strut having a seat location fixing unit defined by a seat location fixing rod and a seat location fixing place. The seat location fixing place is connected to the frame having laterally spaced apart vertical holes therein for insertion of the seat location fixing rod which attaches to an underside of the seat and is configured as a support post between the seat and the holes within the seat location fixing place. The holes are configured for the user to locate said seat location fixing rod at varying distances and locations from the arm strut.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Removable Skimmer Basket Handle which is ideal for people who wishes to use skimmer sock fabric in their skimmer baskets to collect ultra-fine particles and prevent them going into their pool filter. The removable handle allows this person the ability to remove the basket using the upper portion curved handle and twist the handle to separate the handle from the basket so the person can remove the fabric sock and replace with a new sock. The present invention also allows a skimmer basket lifting tool that enables a user to engage and remove a skimmer basket for cleaning without having to contact the debris accumulated within the basket.

Abstract: An inwardly disposed vehicle skirt panel assembly disposed laterally inset toward the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. The vehicle skirt panel assembly is suspended underneath a rearward body component of a truck or semitrailer, extending forwards in front of a rearward wheel assembly. The vehicle skirt panel assembly stabilizes otherwise laterally displaced air passing under the central portion of the moving vehicle, further increasing the effective air pressure developed immediately behind the vehicle. Maintaining air generally static while passing under the vehicle increases the effective pressure developed immediately behind the vehicle to reduce drag thereon.

Abstract: The method and system evaluates the effectiveness of a display location within a store based on a behavioral response analysis of shoppers in the vicinity. The effectiveness of a display location is measured by tracking shoppers in-store, extracting and processing shopper attributes, and extracting metrics based on the processed attributes. The metrics of one location is compared to the metrics of another location to determine overall effectiveness.

Abstract: A game board comprising a tapered playing field with walls rising from a perimeter thereof. The board comprises open receptacles arranged in a pattern or randomly on the playing field. A triangular pattern extends from an apex adjacent to a first wall to a base adjacent to a second wall. Each of the receptacles comprise a depth and a diameter sufficient to capture a ball used in the game. A movable track comprising a pair of rods comprising first and second ends is disposed above the field. The first ends are attached to a pivot disposed on the first wall and the second ends are inserted through an elongate opening in the second wall. The track is inclined from the pivot ends. A ball placed on the track near the pivot ends is urged to travel uphill along the track and dropped into a receptacle by manipulating the rods.
