  • Patent number: 11469000
Abstract: A device that holds a medical dictionary indicating medical concepts, drug information, medical care information and documents indicating a medical concept not included in the medical care information, identifies from the documents, for each combination of a medical concept not included in the medical care information and a drug included in the drug information, a document indicating the medical concept and the drug. The device generates a medical concept list including the medical concept indicated by the medical dictionary included in each identified document and determines, based on a probability of each medical concept not included in the medical care information appearing in a context of the document indicated by the medical concept list, from among the medical concepts not included in the medical care information, a medical concept having an influence on a prescription of the drug included in the drug information.

  • Patent number: 11423356
Abstract: A clinical documentation improvement (CDI) smart scoring method may include predicting, via per-condition diagnosis machine learning (ML) models and based on clinical evidence received by a system, a probability that a medical condition is under-documented and, via per-condition documentation ML models and based on documentation received by the system, a probability that a medical condition is over-documented. The under- and over-documentation scores are combined in view of special indicators and queryability factors, which can also be evaluated using ML query prediction models, to generate an initial CDI score. This CDI score can be further adjusted, if necessary or desired, to account for factors such as length of stay, payer, patient location, CDI review timing, etc. The final CDI score can be used to prioritize patient cases for review by CDI specialists to quickly and efficiently identify meaningful CDI opportunities.

  • Patent number: 11334902
Abstract: The technology described herein relates to using predictions about patients' future health care utilization and/or outcomes (e.g., patients' expected future adherence to medication regimens) and the expected economic benefits of targeted improvements in the same utilization and/or outcomes (e.g., reduced likelihood of hospitalization attributable to more consistent medication use) to implement more effective and efficient health care improvement programs. The technology described here computes which subset of patients should be included in a value-based health care provider payment scheme and what the specific bonus payment amounts should be such that expected benefits from better patient outcomes, once realized, are greater than the expected costs of the payment scheme itself.

  • Patent number: 11308567
Abstract: The technology provides for utilizing and displaying physician analytics. For example, a result metric for a physician is based on a value metric, a quality metric, and/or a quantity metric. The value metric, quality metric, and/or quantity metric may all be received from different sources. The result metric may be displayed on a chart, or the result metric may be utilized for determining referral recommendations for a physician. The result metric may be displayed as a physician indicator on the chart. An insight for the physician may also be determined from the result metric. The insight may be based on the location of the physician indicator on the chart, and the insight may be represented by the color or other visual attribute of the physician indicator. For referral recommendations, the result metric may be used to adjust the rank of a physician in a referral search result.

  • Patent number: 11302429
Abstract: An inbound message including medical record content may be received. The inbound message may indicate a healthcare entity and a vendor entity. It may be determined, from the healthcare entity and stored correspondences between medical record formats and healthcare entities, that the medical record content of the inbound message is in a first medical record format. Which configuration record of stored configuration records specifying combinations of sets of rules may be determined to apply as a translation to the inbound message based upon the medical record content of the inbound message and the first medical record format. The sets of rules as indicated by the configuration record may be accessed and applied to the inbound message to translate the medical record content in the inbound message from the first medical record format to the standardized format. The standardized format may be transmitted to the vendor entity.
