    Abstract: A zoom lens is disclosed, comprising, from front to rear, a first lens unit having a positive refractive power and a second lens unit having a negative refractive power, an air separation between the first and second lens units being varied to vary the focal length, wherein the first lens unit comprises, from front to rear, a front lens unit having a negative refractive power, a stop and a rear lens unit having a positive refractive power, satisfying the following condition:0.053<l/fw<0.1where l is an air separation between the stop and the rear lens unit when the zoom lens is focused on an infinitely distant object, and fw is the shortest focal length of the entire lens system.
