Abstract: A procedure for sorting a plurality of circuit data flows (7, 8, . . . ) located, according to an initial configuration, in a plurality of sets of slots (space, time, frequency or wavelength) in a transport sub-network, comprising the following steps:—calculating a theoretical configuration in which flows are optimised in terms of occupied band by applying a theoretical flow routing algorithm; on the basis of the theoretical configuration defined above, exchanging the position of the flows in the sub-network slots to obtain an optimal arrangement which minimises the occupied slots; flows whose position corresponds to the position assumed by the flows in the initial position are identified to reduce the number of exchanges; defining and implementing a minimum shift sequence of single flows needed to shift each single flow from an initial position occupied in the initial flow configuration to a final position corresponding to the position assumed by the flow in the optimal slot set arrangement.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for dynamic radio station tuning in a data processing system. A play list is identified. The play list is a user-defined list and includes an identification of a number of songs. Music information is obtained from a plurality of radio stations. This music information is compared to the play list to generate a schedule. Dynamic tuning to a radio station within the plurality of radio stations is performed using the schedule to present songs from the number of songs to a listener.

Abstract: A packet processing device has a search engine module including an associative memory for transferring a packet on the basis of an entry mapping to route information, a first processor taking charge of a pre-search process before a process of the packet to the search engine module, and a second processor taking charge of a post-search process for executing a process of routing the packet on the basis of a search result of the search engine module. In this architecture, the packet processing device further has a table used for transferring and receiving information between the first processor in charge of the pre-search process and the second processor in charge of the post-search processor, and identifying information in a specified field of the table is transferred through the search engine module as a transparent medium.
