The image shift template comprises x- and y-axes associated with the document and indication of the areas of the pages of the document that will be unusable after the finishing operation. A second print job is created comprising instructions for printing the pages of the document with the image shift template superimposed on the pages. The pages of the document including the image shift template are printed, according to the second print job.
