  • Patent number: 4774726
Abstract: An adjustable dress is disclosed which includes an adjustable crinoline or slip, an adjustable overskirt and an adjustable blouse. The slip is upwardly formed with a plurality of vertically spaced casings and is provided with a drawstring which is insertable into a casing to thereby provide the desired vertical dress length adjustment. The slip terminates downwardly in a fabric ruffle to form the finished bottom of the dress. An overskirt overfits the slip and is provided with a waist construction that is widely adjustable to fit substantially all sizes. The length of the overskirt is less than the length of the slip to thereby assure that the ruffle will bottomly extend below the overskirt. An adjustable blouse is fabricated of the same fabric as the slip ruffle and the overskirt and includes suitable drawstrings about the blouse top and sleeves to comfortably fit the shoulders, neckline and back of the wearer.

  • Patent number: 4742581
Abstract: A head or wrist sweatband including united sheet sublayers of foraminous heat conductive foraminous and moisture absorbant fabrics, for immersion in tap water at room temperature, functioning to evaporate the water with concurrent cooling of the human body and absorption of perspiration. The inner surface of the band is comprised of said heat conductive foraminous fabric first sublayer and in use is adjacent the skin of the wearer. Said moisture absorbant second sublayer is connected in interfacial association upon said first sublayer and forms the outer surface of said band. In use, the band is initially immersed in room temperature water and placed upon the user. Heat from the body of the user raises the temperature of the first sublayer which in turn raises the temperature of the second sublayer causing evaporation and consequent cooling of the band. Perspiration from the user is absorbed by the second sublayer for continous evaporation and cooling.

  • Patent number: 4742580
Abstract: A thin fabric wind resistant mitten, made primarily of a fabric having an air permeability of less than 15 cubic feet per minute per square foot at 0.5 inches head of water, and preferably having a wear resistant palm portion and an extendable trigger finger, may be used over or in place of anti-contact gloves. The wind resistant mitten may store in a pocket formed on the outside surface of a cold weather mitten. The cold weather mitten has inner and outer synthetic material fabrics, and an open cell foam at least about 1/8 inch thick (e.g. 1/2-1 inch thick) between the fabrics. The size of the access opening to the cold weather mitt is easily changed, it has a curvature corresponding to the curvature of a normal human hand at rest, and a lanyard attached to the outer fabric is connected to the wind mitt, storable in the outer pocket. A suspension system comprising barrel locks and suspension cords readily adjustably supports the cold weather mitts on a wearer's neck.

  • Patent number: 4738192
Abstract: The grill frame includes a pair of elongated shaft members which are resiliently connected at their first ends so that upon the insertion of the first end into the abdominal cavity of the fowl, the shaft members may be urged against the opposite sides of the abdominal cavity with sufficient force to enlarge the abdominal cavity laterally and to disperse the meat of the fowl to substantially the equal plane. The method of insertion is such that the shaft members are held in substantially close proximity as the first end is inserted through the cavity and the shaft members are allowed to expand outwardly as the first end of the apparatus extrudes out of the rear of the cavity with the apparatus in position within the fowl.
