  • Patent number: 11778629
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a source user equipment (UE) and a relay UE may participate in a decode and forward relaying procedure to provide greater uplink coverage to a base station. As part of the decode and forward relaying procedure, the source UE may transmit source data to the base station and the relay UE may overhear the source data transmission, decode the source data transmission from the source UE, and forward the source data to the base station. In some cases, the base station may unsuccessfully receive the source data from the source UE and the relay UE, and may transmit a groupcast downlink control information (DCI) message to indicate a resource assignment that the source UE and the relay UE may use for retransmitting the source data or for transmitting new source data, or both.

  • Patent number: 11778019
Abstract: A base station or content delivery server in a wireless network is configured to receive wireless network topology information from each of a plurality of wireless user devices. The wireless network topology information indicates which wireless user devices are within radio communication range of each other. The base station or content delivery server is configured to respond to a request for content from a first wireless user device by using the wireless network topology information for selecting a second wireless user device that has the content and is within radio communication range of the first wireless user device. The base station or content delivery server can be configured to forward the request to the second wireless user device, send a resource identifier to the first wireless user device that identifies the second wireless user device, and/or transmit a radio resource allocation to the first wireless user device to create a peer-to-peer link with the second wireless user device.

  • Patent number: 11770225
Abstract: Aspects of the present application provide methods and devices for use in User Equipment (UE) cooperation. A packet transmitted between a base station and a UE or between UEs includes a packet destination identifier that identifies a destination of the packet. A receiving the packet from a base station or another UE can determine whether the UE is the destination of the packet. When the UE is the destination of the packet, the UE decodes the packet. When the UE is not the destination of the packet, the UE forwards the packet to another UE. The packet may include a packet source identifier that can be used by the destination to determine where the packet originated. In some instances, the cooperative UEs do not need to decode the entire packet to be able to determine the destination of the packet and therefore can forward the packet along with less processing.

  • Patent number: 11758407
Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for constructing a TFDMA random self-organizing ad hoc network: the total spectrum bandwidth W is divided into N=W/?f sub-channels, and ?f represents the bandwidth of one sub-channel. 24 hours a day is divided into U epochs, V time frames, S time slots, and E time chips. In an epoch of sub-channel bandwidth ?f, the last time slot is connected to the first time slot to form a time-frequency loop net. The N epoch-ring net corresponding to the N sub-channels are stacked together in a manner of time slot alignment to form a cylindrical web. A web is reused U times to cover the full spectrum bandwidth W and 24 hours a day, forming a time-frequency division multiple access self-organizing network.

  • Patent number: 11751135
Abstract: Methods and systems for wirelessly transmitting data between Wi-Fi stations without requiring the Wi-Fi stations to be fully connected to the Wi-Fi network. A first Wi-Fi station generates the data to be transmitted. The data comprises status data and/or wake-up data. The first Wi-Fi station then inserts the data in a vendor-specific information element of a probe request frame and wirelessly transmits the probe request frame. The probe request frame is then received by a second Wi-Fi station. If the probe request frame contains wake-up data and the second Wi-Fi station is operating in a low-power mode when it receives the probe request frame, the second Wi-Fi station will wake-up from the low-power mode. If the probe request frame contains status data then the second Wi-Fi station may process the probe request frame and/or forward at least a portion of the received probe request frame to another device.

  • Patent number: 11751246
Abstract: A method for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) in a transmission opportunity (TXOP) and a device using the same are provided. The device transmits a request to send (RTS) frame to a plurality of receiving stations. The RTS frame includes a bandwidth field and a plurality of allocation fields. The bandwidth field indicates a first bandwidth in which the RTS frame is transmitted. Each allocation field indicates a bandwidth in which a clear to send (CTS) frame is to be sent by a corresponding receiving station. The device determines a transmission bandwidth of a PPDU to be sent by comparing the first bandwidth with a second bandwidth which is a total bandwidth indicated by the plurality of allocation fields.

  • Patent number: 11743739
Abstract: A municipal wireless network includes a base unit having a twist-style electrical plug that mates with an electrical receptacle on a typical streetlamp. Within the base-unit interior is a long-range wireless transceiver, such as that commonly referred to as Wi-Fi. The transceiver is in wireless communication with a central hub that is connected to a server via a wired or wireless phone system. Accordingly, when a base unit is connected to each of the streetlamps within a given jurisdiction, a universal wireless network is established.

  • Patent number: 11734688
Abstract: A facility may allow an authorized user to sponsor other users to enter. Actions taken by those users may be associated with the account of the authorized user. Sensor data obtained at a portal may be indicative of whether a user attempted to provide credentials to a sensor at the portal, time between entry of users, attributes about the user, and so forth. Information about when the users have exited may also be obtained. For example, if three people entered one after another and then left at the same time, they may be deemed to form a group. Based on this information, the actions taken by the users in the group may be associated with the account of the authorized user.

  • Patent number: 11722404
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for compressing the size of SIDs to be smaller than a complete IPv6 address (or “micro SIDs”), and scaling micro SIDs across a multi-domain environment using micro SID-domain-blocks. Segment routing over IPv6 (SRv6) uses 128-bit IPv6 addresses as SIDs for segment routing. According to this disclosure, multiple SRv6 SIDs may be expressed in a compact format such that a 128-bit IPv6 address, such as the destination address field of the IPv6 header, may store multiple micro SIDs. Further, SID-domain-blocks may be assigned to each domain in a multi-domain network such that micro SIDs may be expressed in the context of a given domain, rather than being shared in the global multi-domain network. In this way, lists of domain-specific SIDs may be fully expressed in the IPv6 destination address of the packet to scale micro SID into large, multi-domain networks.

  • Patent number: 11716177
Abstract: Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) parameters for transmission of respective HARQ data units are determined. Determining HARQ parameters includes determining initial HARQ parameters, including an initial number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols that will be occupied by the HARQ data unit and an initial pre-coding padding factor corresponding to a boundary within a last OFDM symbol. Based at least in part on the initial pre-coding padding factor, it is determined whether the HARQ data unit will be misaligned with both a beginning of a first OFDM symbol occupied by the HARQ data unit and an end of a last OFDM symbol occupied by the HARQ data unit. When it is determined that the HARQ data unit will be misaligned, the initial pre-coding padding factor is adjusted to account for a reduced data tone OFDM symbol segment to be occupied by the HARQ data unit.
