  • Patent number: 9056693
Abstract: A machine to be incorporated in a packaging line for beverage packages such as wines and sparkling wines, in a stage after the entering of bottles into a box, and before the closing of same. The machine is formed into a fixed frame (B) interposed in the packaging line, the fixed frame defining a lower sector where the boxes carrying the bottles pass, and a higher sector having a carrier horizontal frame for at least one placing head (C). The dividers (S) each comprise at least a pair of flexible laminar plates with square format joined to each other through a central and vertical adhesive line disposed between their opposite faces.

  • Patent number: 9038355
Abstract: An apparatus for unfolding folded plastic film having a first side joined to a second side along a longitudinal folded edge for use in forming a packaging tube. The folded film travels through a slot and the folded sides are separated at their respective outer longitudinal edges. The longitudinal left side is conveyed toward and over a guide plate left side edge and then over a left form tube section. The longitudinal right side is conveyed toward and over a guide plate right side edge and then over a right form tube section. The longitudinal middle section including the longitudinal folded edge and part of both the first and second sides adjacent the longitudinal folded edge is conveyed toward and over guide plate angular edges and then onto a carrying surface.

  • Patent number: 9021771
Abstract: A vacuum and sealing appliance comprises a heat sealing element for sealing a container during a sealing cycle. A controller controls the temperature of the heat sealing element during the sealing cycle based on a signal from a temperature sensor that senses the real-time temperature of the heat sealing element. A seal indicator light is provided which is lighted during the sealing cycle and extinguished at its completion. The signal from the controller energizes the heating element for a time to heat the sealing element to a pre-determined temperature for sealing the container and initiates a dwell time corresponding to cooling the heating element after sealing the container. Values of the real-time temperatures of the heat sealing element and values of the sealing times and the dwell times that correspond to the values of the real-time temperatures of the heat sealing element are stored in a look-up table.

  • Patent number: 8991518
Abstract: A portable power wrench is controlled by an operation control unit and comprises a housing (10;50) with a rotation motor, a gear casing (15;55) including a gearing (18;56,57) and a drive spindle (19;60} and being releasably and/or rotatably connected to the housing via a swivel or multi-position connection, an operation parameter sensing device (22,23;68) is associated with the drive spindle (19,60). The sensing device (22,23;68) communicates with the operation control unit via a first signal transferring device (28;82) which is disposed between the drive spindle (19;60) and the gear casing (15;55), and a second signal transferring device (31;84) is disposed between the gear casing (15;55) and the housing (10;50), wherein the second signal transferring device (31;84) communicates with the operation control unit. At least the first signal transferring device (28;82) between the drive spindle (19;60) and the gear casing (15;55) comprises a contact free transfer device.

  • Patent number: 8986183
Abstract: A system for transferring tubular blanks to a packing machine includes an apparatus intermittently positioned in a zone (Z) situated in front of the line with an open tubular blank (150) hooked to a retainer (22). The apparatus includes a rotating member (510), activated in phase with the line movement, arranged between longitudinal walls (490), and having a series of transfer devices (525), angularly equidistanced along a circumference tangential to an upper line branch. The transfer devices have dynamic seating (460) for encountering in zone (Z), a tubular blank flap (1C). The tubular blank is freely inserted in the dynamic seating (460), and subsequently by hooking the seating, the transfer means are deactivated in proximity to the upper branch (470) in phase with the arranging of segments from radial to vertical first delimiting the dynamic seating (460) and a compartment (450) corresponding to the dynamic seating.

  • Patent number: 8979723
Abstract: A flat presser for supporting blanking material during operation of a blanking tool for making packaging blanks includes a plurality of coaxially oriented, concentric wall sections of progressively different interior areas and being collapsible from an extended position wherein the wall sections partially overlap in an axial direction to a collapsed position wherein the wall sections substantially completely overlap in the axial direction, and a biasing mechanism for biasing the wall sections to the extended position.

  • Patent number: 8915050
Abstract: Sliced products are deposited in a shipping tray 10 by depositing a first row 71 of the sliced products in the center portion of the tray, moving the first row across the bottom of the tray to a first side wall, depositing a second row 72 of sliced products in the center portion of the tray, then moving the second row of sliced products to the opposite side wall, and depositing a third row 73 of the sliced products in the center portion of the tray. The lateral movement of the first and second rows of sliced products avoids obstruction by the perimeter rim of the tray and the endmost slices of the products tend to follow the curvature of the corners 17-20 of the shipping tray as they are moved toward the side walls of the shipping tray.
