  • Patent number: 11741788
Abstract: There is provided a gaming system, gaming machine, and method that utilize an electronic display device configured to display a plurality of symbol-bearing reels and an array. The reels bear standard symbols, transformable symbols, and a catalyst symbol. Based on a wager tier to which a player's wager belongs, one or more of the transformable symbols are transformed into value-bearing symbols or the catalyst symbol. The reels are then spun and stopped to land symbols in the array. In response to the landed symbols including a catalyst symbol, a payout is awarded based upon values on any value-bearing symbols among the landed symbols.

  • Patent number: 11733808
Abstract: A sensor for a control panel, including a housing along an edge of the panel, light emitters projecting light along an in-air detection plane over the panel and detectors detecting reflections of the projected light, reflected by an object in the detection plane, lenses oriented such that each detector receives maximum light intensity when light enters a corresponding lens at a particular angle, whereby for each emitter-detector pair, when the object is located at a specific position in the detection plane, light emitted by the emitter of that pair is reflected by the object back through one of the lenses at the particular angle to the detector of that pair, the specific position being associated with that emitter-detector pair, and a processor configured to determine panel locations, map each location to a position in the detection plane associated with an emitter-detector pair, mapping the panel to the detection plane.

  • Patent number: 11734994
Abstract: Some implementations may involve providing a slot game in which the game outcome presentation may involve displaying a persistent moving symbol. In some examples, an initial persistent moving symbol position may be based, at least in part, on a first bet level. Determining a game outcome may involve determining whether a persistent moving symbol position is a prize-triggering persistent moving symbol position. If an initial persistent moving symbol position is not a prize-triggering persistent moving symbol position, a persistent moving symbol may be presented in a secondary persistent moving symbol position of a next game outcome. The secondary persistent moving symbol position may be closer to the prize-triggering persistent moving symbol position than the initial persistent moving symbol position.

  • Patent number: 11699327
Abstract: There is provided a gaming system, gaming machine, and method that utilize an electronic display device configured to display a plurality of symbol-bearing reels and an indicator bearing a pay multiplier. For each spin outcome, the reels are spun and stopped to land symbols in an array. In response to the landed symbols including a catalyst symbol, the values on any value-bearing symbols in the array are multiplied by the pay multiplier and awarded, and the pay multiplier is then modified for a subsequent spin outcome(s) based on the type, e.g., color, of the catalyst symbol. In response to the landed symbols not including the catalyst symbol, no awards are provided for any value-bearing symbols in the array, and the pay multiplier stays the same for a subsequent spin outcome(s) until a catalyst symbol lands in the array.

  • Patent number: 11688242
Abstract: A gaming device comprises a display, a processor, and a memory storing (i) a plurality of symbol position states, each defining a number of active symbol positions in each of a plurality of columns of symbol positions. Also stored in memory is data defining a plurality of sets of reel strips including a first set of reels strips, wherein each reel strip of the first set has a first stack length defining a number of consecutive reel strip positions containing the same symbol, and a second set of reel strips, wherein each reel strip of the second set of reel strips has a second stack length shorter than the first stack length. In at least a first game instance, the processor selects symbols from the first set of reel strips for display in the plurality of columns of symbol positions of the first symbol state.

  • Patent number: 11676454
Abstract: A credit-substitution symbol mechanic for a gaming device is described. The credit-substitution symbol mechanic randomly triggers an add-substitution symbol feature and randomly determines a number of substitution symbols to add to a first reel to be displayed in a reel area. The credit-substitution symbol mechanic randomly determines a substitution symbol from the number of substitution symbols added to the first reel is a credit-substitution symbol and determines that the credit-substitution symbol is part of a payline. The credit-substitution symbol substitutes as a different symbol type when forming the payline. The credit-substitution symbol mechanic performs a first payout for the payline that pays out a payline award and performs a second payout for the payline that pays out a credit value of the credit-substitution symbol.

  • Patent number: 11673050
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing assistance for an online game executed by a cloud gaming system includes receiving a game objective of a user playing the online game. A current location of the user in the online game is identified. A map of vector points defined for the online game is traversed in a backward direction from a vector point corresponding to location of the game objective to the current location, to identify vector points corresponding to activities performed by a plurality of prior players to achieve the game objective for the online game. A predicate list of the activities identified from the traversing is generated for presenting to the user. The predicate list specifies a sequence in which the activities need to be performed to achieve the game objective. The activities presented in the predicate list are dynamically adjusted based on changes to the current location of the user detected in the online game.
