Abstract: Disclosed is a hair care composition comprising a compound of the formula (1) and a photolabile antidandruff agent wherein said photolabile antidandruff agent is piroctone olamine. The compound of formula (1), which is a 2(1H)-pyridinone, may be a degradation product of piroctone olamine on exposure to UV radiation and has been shown to improve the stability of piroctone olamine.
