  • Patent number: 11665589
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to allocating RAN resources among RAN slices using a machine learning model. In examples, the machine learning model may determine an optimal RAN resource configuration based on compute power needs. As a result, RAN resource allocation generation and compute power requirements may improve, even in instances with changing or unknown network conditions. In examples, a prediction engine may receive communication parameters and/or requirements associated with service-level agreements (SLAs) for applications executing at least partially at a device in communication with the RAN. The RAN may generate one or more RAN resource configuration for implementation among RAN slices. Upon a change in network conditions or SLA requirements, an optimal RAN configuration may be determined in terms of required compute power.

  • Patent number: 11665092
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that generates different network measurements data (e.g., network topology, bandwidth estimation of different paths, etc.) for a pair of endpoints upon receiving a network administrative request (e.g., an application programming interface (API) request) or by other means (e.g., automatically and without intervention of a user). In some embodiments, the method is implemented by a network measurement agent operating on each endpoint and a centralized service component (e.g., web service layer) executing on a network manager machine (e.g., a controller) that responds to measurement requests. The network measurement agent probes the network periodically (i.e., in certain time intervals) or upon an API request that it receives through the network manager machine to gather the measurement data of a particular network topology between a pair of endpoints.

  • Patent number: 11632324
Abstract: A node mesh contains an originating node coupled to one or more nodes, each node having an communications interface input and a communications interface output. Each node has a route table with an association between a header amplitude and an output interface, such that a header having a particular amplitude causes the input node which received the message to couple the message to an associated communications interface output of the node. When the originating node outputs a message with a header amplitude, each node of the node mesh in turn directs the message to an output interface as directed by the node local route table to a terminating node of the node mesh, where the terminating node may be a training processor or inference processor for machine learning applications.

  • Patent number: 11616725
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for efficient handling of user requests to access shared resources in a distributed system, which handling may include throttling access to resources on a per-resource basis. A distributed load-balancing system can be logically represented as a hierarchical token bucket cache, where a global cache contains token buckets corresponding to individual resources whose tokens can be dispensed to service hosts each maintaining a local cache with token buckets that limit the servicing of requests to access those resources. Local and global caches can be implemented with a variant of a lazy token bucket algorithm to enable limiting the amount of communication required to manage cache state. High granularity of resource management can thus enable increased throttle limits on user accounts without risking overutilization of individual resources.

  • Patent number: 11601858
Abstract: A method performed by a source Radio Network Controller (RNC) for handling a relocation of a User Equipment (UE) connection from the source RNC to a target RNC to serve the UE in an ongoing wireless communication is provided. An interface between the source RNC and the target RNC is available. When all radio links in the ongoing wireless communication are controlled by the target RNC and a triggering condition is fulfilled for relocation of the UE connection from the source RNC to the target RNC, the source RNC decides (202) to discontinue to use said interface. Then a core network is used for sending (204) to the target RNC, a triggering of the relocation procedure for relocating the source RNC to the target RNC to serve the UE. A Radio Resource Control (RRC) configuration defined by the target RNC to be used after the relocation to the target RNC is then obtained (205) via the core network.

  • Patent number: 11599826
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a system, program product, and method for employing feature engineering to improve classifier performance. A first machine learning (ML) model with a first learning program is selected. The first selected ML model is operatively associated with a first structured dataset. First features in the first dataset directed at performance of the selected ML model are identified. A second structured dataset is assessed with respect to the identified features in the first dataset, and new features in the second dataset are identified, where the new features are semantically related to the identified features in the first dataset. The first dataset is dynamically augmented with the identified new features in the second dataset. The dynamically augmented first dataset is applied to the selected ML model to subject an embedded learning algorithm of the selected ML model to training using the augmented first dataset.

  • Patent number: 11588745
Abstract: A device allocates buffer space for storing data received from another device. The other device has a credit balance corresponding to the amount of buffer space. A sending device reduces its number of credits by a cost of a packet and sends the packet. To ensure that the buffer does not overflow, the sending device spends a credit for each entry in the buffer that could be consumed by the sent data packet. When received data is added to the buffer without consuming a new entry, a response packet that returns a credit is sent to the sending device before the data is read from the buffer. Thus, the sending device is enabled to continue sending data without waiting for the buffer to be read, enabling the communication between the two devices to make more efficient use of the buffer.
