  • Patent number: 5108292
Abstract: The present invention is a dental oral simulator designed to teach the skills an operator will require in practice when dealing with a supine patient in the ergonomically preferred work zone in the midsagittal plane at heart level and in myocentric relationship.Training jaws of the dental simulator are supported to simulate the movement of the jaws in a skull about the occipito-atlantal joint. A concave dish supported on the end or a mounting arm provides bearing support for a semi spherical bowl with the attachment between the bowl and the concave dish operating to allow controlled movement of the bowl through the range of useful dental treatment anatomical movements by a human skull about its occipito-atlantal joint with the mounting for the training jaws located on the mandible plane.

  • Patent number: 5108290
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying patterns of balls forming a Braille-sign or other symbol or picture, comprise a driven running belt carrying the balls with it. According to the invention the belt is smooth--instead of being perforated--whereby the balls may be grouped upon the belt in arbitrary mutual positions. The balls are kept in place by being clamped against said belt by means of a second belt and due to the spaces between the two belts being maintained at a reduced air pressure.

  • Patent number: 5106305
Abstract: The kit comprises a base sheet (2) carrying a predetermined outline or "graphic grid", a plurality of filling elements such as pieces of adhesively backed colored diffraction foil for fitting in different areas (R, B, E) of the outline, and an overlay sheet of transparent material which carries correspondingly outlined clear areas separated by opaque (preferably black) areas. The superimposition of the overlay sheet over the color filled base sheet produces a finished picture in which the colors are highlighted by the surrounding black areas.

  • Patent number: 5102339
Abstract: A game organization including a single game path defined by coextensive circuitous individual paths, with each individual path comprised of a series of spaces, with the spaces defined by a plurality of repetitive symbology. The repetitive symbology spaces each correspond to an associated category of cards, wherein the category of cards are each provided with a mathematical problem. Solving of the problems permits movement along each of the paths by associated tokens. A calculator member is provided to provide checking of calculations with a chance die member provided to effect movement of the tokens about the paths. Various obstacle spaces and mathematical solving cards associated with such obstacles are provided throughout the paths of the game.

  • Patent number: 5098423
Abstract: A disposable diaper is particularly configured for improved fit and comfort, as well as provide enhanced absorptive capacity and leakage-resistant characteristics. Improved fit and comfort are achieved by providing the diaper with a relatively thin, narrow absorbent panel, with the panel configured to provide desirably high absorbency efficiency for enhanced performance characteristics. Additionally, the diaper is provided with elasticized leg openings each including a plurality of elastic members. The innermost ones of the elastic members are positioned relatively close together, thereby providing improved fit.

  • Patent number: 5096422
Abstract: A handicraft guide for locating a plurality of members on a surface, such as a layer of fabric, which utilizes a sheet material upon which has been inscribed a pattern to be reproduced as a design on the mounting surface. This mirror image pattern is made up of rows of symbols and is to be placed directly against the mounting surface. This guide is to be folded over upon itself sequentially exposing rows of symbols with each symbol to correspond to a specific member that is to be fixedly mounted on the mounting base directly adjacent the symbol. When there is placed on the mounting base a member for each symbol, there will be reproduced the desired design. The guide is then to be removed from the mounting base.

  • Patent number: 5092778
Abstract: A representational figure having a receptacle therein is employed to diagnose and treat a psychological trauma in a child. In response to questions, the child selects a plurality of objects which are representative of either the nature or intensity of emotional feelings and inserts them into the receptacle where they can be observed by the practitioner treating the child.

  • Patent number: 5092777
Abstract: A teaching and learning game for players to learn the sequence of letters in the alphabet. In a preferred embodiment, a set of blocks has a different letter of the alphabet marked on each side of a respective block and further has marked on two sides of the block, first indicia means to indicate the preceding letter, and has marked on two other sides of the block second indicia means to indicate the succeeding letters. Another preferred embodiment includes a set of twenty-six cards having the letters of the alphabet marked in alphabetical sequence on the sides of the cards. Further, one side of each card is marked with first indicia means to indicate the preceding letter and the other side of each card is marked with second indicia means to indicate the succeeding letter. Point scores are awarded to players correctly identifying the preceding or succeeding letter of the alphabet. Selected cards are further marked with scoring indicators to award bonus points to the players.

  • Patent number: 5083925
Abstract: A copying apparatus is provided in which a transparent soft sheet is mounted to an upper face of an opaque sheet so as to be in contact with and out of contact with the opaque sheet. The copying apparatus comprises a closure frame, a box-like body having a smooth upper face, the closure frame being mounted to the box-like body in an openable and closeable manner, a carbon-paper press frame superimposed upon a rear face of the closure frame in an openable and closeable manner, and a pair of roller means mounted respectively to one side of the box-like body and to one side of the closure frame in facing relation to each other and a buzzer. The opaque sheet is made of a soft material and is stretched upon the closure frame. At least one of the pair of roller means is connected to a roller rotating unit and the buzzer and the roller rotating unit are connected to an electric power source through a switch.
