  • Patent number: 11088644
Abstract: A variety of methods, controllers and electric machine systems are described that facilitate pulsed control of electric machines to improve the energy efficiency of the electric machine when conditions warrant. Selected transitions between pulsing output levels are controlled to provide a cubic or higher order transition torque profile. In various implementations, cubic, quintic or higher order transition profiles are use. The use of such transition torque profiles can improve NVH characteristics of the electric machine while providing energy efficient pulse transitions.

  • Patent number: 11088641
Abstract: A motor driving device having a lock protection mode includes a rotation speed detecting unit, an operating unit, a driving unit, a floating point selecting unit, a BEMF detecting unit, a control unit, and a lock protection unit. The operating unit enters an operating mode after a motor is stably operated, and generates an operating signal having phases according to a commutation sequence, and the driving unit drives the motor. The BEMF detecting unit detects a BEMF of a first floating phase to generate a detection result. The control unit outputs a commutation signal to cause the driving unit to drive the motor. When the rotation speed detecting unit determines that a rotation speed of the motor exceeds a predetermined rotation speed, the rotation speed detecting unit outputs a switching signal to the lock protection unit to enter the lock protection mode.

  • Patent number: 11059413
Abstract: A slide-out or retractable room for a mobile living quarters, such as a recreational vehicle, is provided with actuating assemblies mounted on opposite side walls of the slide-out room and the adjacent wall of the main living area. The actuating assemblies include a pair of parallel gear racks mounted on the side wall, which are engaged by pinions rotated by torque shafts mounted on the main living quarters. Each torque shaft is rotated by a separate motor. A roller engages a bearing surface on the lower portion of the gear racks. Accordingly, the slide-out room is extended and retracted by rotating the torque shafts to cause the gear racks and the attached slide-out room to extend and retract. The weight of the slide-out room is supported by the rollers, thereby supporting the slide-out room off of the floor of the main living quarters as it extends and retracts.

  • Patent number: 11038448
Abstract: A motor driving circuit includes a rotation speed request generator, a motor driving signal generating unit, an inverter circuit, a position detecting circuit, a current detecting module, a rotation speed signal lookup module, an automatic leading angle controller, and a modulation signal generating circuit. When the rotation speed request signal indicates that a rotation speed of a motor is adjusted to a current rotation speed, the rotation speed signal lookup module queries a lookup table and generates a leading angle indication signal for indicating a current leading angle as a adjusting angle, and the automatic leading angle controller generates a phase adjusting signal, and the modulation signal generation circuit roughly adjusts a modulation waveform with the adjusting phase. The modulation signal generating circuit performs a fine adjustment on the modulation waveforms according to a phase difference, thereby making the current zero-crossing point near the BEMF zero point.

  • Patent number: 11024793
Abstract: In a driver for a piezo-electric transducer, when a converter circuit and a sensing circuit are the same circuit, many limitations exist on the accuracy of the sensing, due to multiple parasitic effects arising from the interconnection of the power devices. These limitations may limit viability of the sensing for many applications, in particular an accurate determination of when the force on the piezo-electric transducer is fully removed. Providing an additional switch in the sensing circuit configured to repeatedly zero the sensed voltage across the piezo-electric transducer each time the sensed voltage reaches a threshold voltage generates a plurality of voltage segments between zero and the threshold voltage. Accordingly, a controller may then be configured to generate a digital reconstruction of the sensed voltage across the piezo-electric transducer by adding the plurality of voltage segments.
