  • Patent number: 7462663
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and more precisely, a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing an organic silane compound that exhibits excellent initial adhesive strength on a substrate, and does not leave any of the adhesive behind when removed because the adhesive power is not excessively increased even at high temperature or at high temperature and high humidity.

  • Patent number: 7445728
Abstract: The invention relates to mixtures for producing transparent plastic, which mixtures comprise: a) compounds of formulae (I) and (II), wherein R1 independently represents hydrogen or a methyl group, R2 independently represents a linear or branched, aliphatic or cycloaliphatic group or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic or heteroaromatic group and m and n independently represent an integer ?0, with m+n>0, b) a prepolymer produced from polymethacrylate and alkyldithiols or polythiols, preferably HS—R3—SH (III), wherein R3 is the same or different from R2 and may have the definition of R2, and c) aromatic vinyl compounds.

  • Patent number: 7438830
Abstract: The present invention relates to mixtures for preparing transparent plastics, encompassing a) a prepolymer prepared from compounds of the formula (I) and (II) ?where each R1, independently of the others, is hydrogen or a methyl radical, ?each R2, independently of the others, is a linear or branched, aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical, or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic or heteroaromatic radical, and each of m and n, independently of the other, is a whole number greater than or equal to 0, where m+n>0, and from compounds of the formula (III), or from alkyl dithiols or from polythiols, preferably HS—R3—SH (III) ?where R3, identical with or different from R2, can be as defined for R2, and b) at least one monomer (A) capable of free-radical polymerization and having at least 2 methacrylate groups, and c) aromatic vinyl compounds, such as styrene, and d) if appropriate, a monomer capable of free-radical polymerization and having at least two terminal olefinic groups whose reactivity differs, a

  • Patent number: 7390430
Abstract: Difunctional oxazoline resins, which may be produced in a convenient one-step reaction from an arylalkylene dinitrile by reaction with an amino alcohol, are used in compositions with an additional curable compound or resin containing one or more carbon to carbon double bonds. The composition can be cured to a thermoset material, the curing mechanism occurring by the zwitterion polymerization of the bisoxazoline resin with the resin containing the one or more carbon to carbon double bonds. The reaction occurs without the need for curing initiators.
