Abstract: The invention relates to a polymer mixture based on the (meth)acrylate (co)polymer components a), b), c), and/or d) according to claim 1, where a test specimen produced from the polymer mixture simultaneously has the following properties: I. a tensile modulus (ISO 527) of at least 2600 MPa, II. a Vicat softening point VSP (ISO 306-B50) of at least 109° C., III. an impact strength (ISO 179-2D, flatwise) of at least 17 kJ/m2, and IV. a melt index MVR (ISO 1133, 230° C./3.8 kg) of at least 1.5 cm3/10 min. The invention further relates to injection mouldings and to the use of the polymer mixture for producing injection-moulded parts.

Abstract: The present invention provides an acrylic polymer emulsion containing a polymer formed by polymerizing 100% by weight in total of a monodic mixture comprising 50 to 90% by weight of an alkyl acrylate or an alkyl methacrylate, 9 to 49% by weight of a vinyl monomer of which homopolymer having a glass transition temperature Tg is not lower than 80° C., 0.2 to 10% by weight of a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group and 0.1 to 5% by weight of a crosslinkable monomer having a molecular weight of not less than 280. The acrylic polymer emulasion of present invention provides gloves for home uses, works, examination operations, medical uses and the like which are superior in practical performances such as tensile strength, elongation, alcohol resistance, detergent resistance, oil resistance, recovering property after a stretch and wearing touch.
Abstract: There is provided a carbon fiber precursor polymer which is composed of a polymer comprising 50 wt % or greater of an acrylonitrile component, wherein the isotactic triad proportion of the acrylonitrile structural chain composed of the acrylonitrile component is 35 mole percent or greater based on the total triad proportion of the acrylonitrile structural chain composed of the acrylonitrile component, the carbon fiber precursor polymer allowing flame retardant treatment to be carried out slowly from a low temperature range, and having satisfactory flame retardant properties including low heat generation.
Abstract: An improved coating composition for use in providing a glossy finish to various objects comprises from about 80 to about 92 percent by weight of an acrylic emulsion polymer; and from about 5 to about 12 percent of a glycol ether. The composition also includes from about 1 to about 3 percent by weight of a polyethylene wax emulsion; up to about 1% by weight petroleum distillate; and the balance is water. About 3 to about 5 parts by volume of the concentrate is mixed with from about 2 to about 4 parts by volume of water. The composition is sprayed onto the object to be coated.
Abstract: A norbornane lactone (meth)acrylate represented by the following general formula (1): where R1 denotes an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, n denotes an integer of 1 to 3, and R2 denotes a hydrogen atom or methyl group.
Abstract: The present invention provides a colorant-containing curable composition comprising a colorant, wherein the colorant contains a compound represented by the following Formula (I). In Formula (I), R1 and R2 each independently represent H, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group. R1 and R2 may be formed into a heterocycle together with a jointly bonded nitrogen atom. R3 represents a halogen atom, a trihalomethyl group, an alkoxy group, a nitro group, or an amino group. n represents an integer of 0 to 4. R4 represents a halogen atom or a —SO3M group, in which M represents H, a cation of a metallic atom, or a cation consisting of a nitrogen-containing compound. m represents an integer of 0 to 5. The present invention further provides a color filter comprising the compound represented by Formula (I) and a method for manufacturing the color filter.
