Abstract: A protective article for a horse includes a protective member and a replaceable securing member. The protective member includes a body portion extending between a pair of opposing ends and dimensioned to be wrapped around and secured to a horse's body part, and further includes a first engagement member coupled to the body portion adjacent one end, and a second engagement member coupled to the body portion adjacent the other end. The replaceable securing member is adapted to be selectively engaged with the engagement members in a manner that urges the engagement members towards one another. The replaceable securing member includes a first securing assembly adapted to be manually reversibly secured to the first engagement member, and a second securing assembly adapted to be manually reversibly secured to the second engagement member, the first securing assembly securing to the first engagement member independently of the second securing assembly.

Abstract: A heated fishing pole is provided. The device has a hollow elongated body including at least one hand grip, a first open end, and a second closed end, thereby defining an interior volume. At least one heating element in the interior volume is in thermal communication with the at least one hand grip. The heating element is powered by a power source which is in communication with the at least one heating element. A cap is removably securable to the first open end providing access to the interior volume. When the cap is secured to the first open end, a watertight seal is formed preventing water from getting into the interior volume. A control is disposed on an external surface of either the at least one hand grip or the cap, which can be used to select the amount of heat output from the heating element into the hand grip.

Abstract: A heater-equipped man-made beehive incorporates a substantially enclosed hive body having a plurality of joined side walls, a floor, and a top. The hive body defines an entrance sufficient for allowing passage of bees into and from the beehive. A heating element is located inside the hive body adjacent the floor, and is adapted to raise an ambient temperature inside the beehive.

A nutrient solution supply system and a cultivation frame, a root of a crop seedling being wrapped within a planting sponge body, a planting sponge body being fixed on the cultivation frame, a nutrient solution supply system including a nutrient solution storage tank, a filter, a magnetizer, a low pressure ball valve, a high pressure pump, a high pressure ball valve, and a high-pressure fine water mist sprayer, a liquid outlet of a nutrient solution storage tank being connected to a water inlet of the high pressure pump by a filter, a magnetizer, and the low pressure ball valve being connected in series, and a water outlet of the high pressure pump being connected by the high pressure ball valve, to the high-pressure fine water mist sprayer provided within the cultivation frame.

Abstract: A fishing jig is disclosed. The fishing jig includes a semitransparent skirt having a generally tubular body that extends between a closed head end and a tail end that includes an opening. A channel is formed within the tubular body and extends from the opening toward the head end. The fishing jig also includes a jig head positioned within the channel of the skirt and at least partially visible through the skirt. The jig head may include a body having a first side and a second side, an eye positioned on each of the first side and the second side, the eyes being visible through the skirt, and a hook that extends from the body and through the opening in the skirt. The fishing jig may mimic the look and motion of bait fish.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an insect trap for attracting insects using a UV LED and sucking and capturing the attracted insects with a fan. The insect trap of the present invention comprises: a body; a suction part provided on one side of the body; a fan installed behind the suction part; at least one UV LED, provided on the body at least around the fan, for irradiating ultraviolet rays forward; a discharge part for discharging air sucked in by the suction part in a direction different from the air suction direction of the suction part; a duct which is an air passage from the suction part to the discharge part; a first streamlined inner surface, provided on an inner wall side opposite to a direction in which the duct extends on the basis of the suction part, for guiding air sucked into the suction part toward the duct; and an insect net, installed in the discharge part, for passing the air therethrough and capturing insects being sucked in together with the air.

Abstract: A system for applying CO2 gas to improve Cannabis production. A multi-stage system is disclosed including upstream, midstream, and downstream stages or subsystems. The upstream subsystem receives and stores gas, particularly CO2 gas. The midstream subsystem is communicatively connected to the upstream subsystem and to the downstream subsystem. It monitors the environment of the downstream subsystem, determines when and how to apply gas to plants growing in the downstream system, acquires gas stored in the upstream subsystem, and distributes it to the downstream system. It also has various monitoring, command and control, management, and reporting features. The downstream subsystem includes one or more plant growth areas or plots, gas distribution means, such as gas conduits, tubes or lines from the midstream subsystem, and the high efficiency, adjustable gas applicator, and various sensing and monitoring devices communicatively connected to the midstream subsystem.

Abstract: A system can be installed in a cabinet for growing plants. The system has a divider. The divider hermetically separates a plant space of the cabinet from a control space of the cabinet. The divider has a plant side, a control side, and electro-magnetic radiation (EMR) emitters, mounted on the plant side of the divider. The EMR emitters are adapted to EMR frequencies primarily at or near visible light. There is a filtered vent in the divider. The filtered vent has an air filter, a fan for pulling air through the filtered vent, and a microprocessor. The microprocessor controls the fan and the EMR emitters.

Abstract: The insect water supply system is configured to prevent the insects (such as crickets) from self-contaminating the water supplied to the insects' rearing enclosure. The system is designed so that the insects drink in an inverted (i.e. upside down) and elevated position—consequently the insects' feces fall downward toward the ground and away from their water source—and therefore do not contaminate the insects' water supply.

Abstract: A therapeutic horseshoe may be a unitary body having opposed upper and lower surfaces. The lower surface may be curved, such that the horseshoe is thicker in the middle and heel portions thereof and thinner at the inner and outer sides and, in some embodiments, the toe portions thereof, which allows a horse with navicular syndrome to easily roll the hoof laterally and medially, and, in some embodiments, breakover the hoof sooner in the gait, to obtain comfort and pain relief, promoting increased blood flow and healing. At least one tab may be removably attached at various locations to the lower surface for customizing points of pressure to the hoof as well as customizing restriction of lateral and/or medial rolling of the hoof. A method of using a therapeutic horseshoe is also disclosed.

A fluid aperture in the support panel is disposed at a lower region of each grow pocket for fluid communication between an interior of the grow pocket and the aligned nutrient flow passage.

Abstract: An inexpensive wick watering system for potted plants and flowers is disclosed. An inner grower pot containing a plant/flower and soil has holes in its bottom surface along with a central indentation. The outer decorative pot into which the inner pot is inserted has a central protrusion which accepts the central indentation of the inner grower pot and a hole inserted into the center. A Wicking insert is inserted into the bottom of the outer decorative pot before inserting the inner grower pot with holes in its bottom surface. This wicking insert works to transfer water sitting in the volume created between the inner grower pot and the outer decorative pot when the inner grower pot is placed inside the outer decorative pot due to the soil's natural ability to be infiltrated and naturally hydrated by the water. Water that rises up to the hole in the center portion of the outer pot central protrusion drains from the outer pot.

Abstract: Automated terrariums and methods of using the terrariums are disclosed. The automated terrarium comprises a housing having a base and a lid, wherein the lid is supported by at least two support pillars. The terrarium also comprises at least two transparent side panels supported by the at least two support pillars and positioned between the base and the lid, an irrigation system within the base, a lighting system within the lid, and a control unit. The control unit is adapted to monitor growth of the plant and adjust the irrigation system, heating system, airflow system, and/or lighting system.

The controller may be configured to control the automatic supply system to extract the first portion of the carrier according to a treatment protocol.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an illuminative fishing pole incorporated with a bulb or fiber optic wires to illuminate the fishing pole, which can be used for night fishing activities. The fishing pole extending from bottom handle to top tip or eyelet, comprises a portable power source, one or more light sources, at least one fiber optic cable or wire, and a power (on/off) button. The light is emitted from the light source powered by the power source, where the emitted light is passed onto the fiber optics along the length of the fishing pole to illuminate the fishing pole from its base or bottom handle to its tip or eyelet. The fishing pole according to the present invention, eliminates electrical vibration. The illuminative fishing pole kit can also be used to alter the existing fishing rod or retrofittable to the existing fishing poles already in use.

Abstract: Milking clusters for a milking installation have four teat cups, each teat cup having a cup housing and a teat cup liner with a top region and a suction region. A connection for a milk tube is arranged at the cup bottom or at the end of the suction region of the teat cup liner. A mouth portion of a sterile air pressure line is arranged in the top region of the teat cup liner, through which pressure line sterile air is introduced at a volumetric flow rate greater than a fluid aspiration volumetric flow rate at the milk tube, such that a sterile air blanket is established in the top region of the teat cup liner. The milking clusters with the cup liner and sterile air blanket prevent milked milk from being contaminated by contaminants and microorganisms from the shed air, extending storage life for untreated raw milk.
