Abstract: Novel cystine compounds of the general formula I are proposed wherein the independently of one another each represent a, preferably natural, L-amino acid, in particular glycine, alanine, proline, threonine, serine, valine, arginine, lysine or ornithine; the R.sub.1 independently of one another each stand for an acyl group of an organic acid with 2 to 5 carbon atoms, preferably for acetyl-, propionyl-, succinyl- or hydroxysuccinyl- or for a, preferably natural, L-amino acid which via its carboxylic group is linked amide-like to the amino group of the amino acid AS, the amino acids indicated as preferred for AS also being preferred for the amino acids of R.sub.1, or the two R.sub.1 together form the acyl group of an organic dicarboxylic acid, preferably the succinic or malic group; and the R.sub.2 independently of one another each are an alkoxy group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, preferably methoxy or ethoxy, the hydroxy group, where in case of the meaning of R.sub.

Abstract: Stable isotropic liquid detergent compositions containing a particular silicone suds controlling agent, a sudsing detergent surfactant and water. Such compositions can be prepared if a suitable dispersing agent is premixed with the suds controlling agent prior to incorporation in the liquid detergent composition.
Abstract: Detergent compositions include water soluble polymers which serve as builders, lime soap dispersants, and antiredeposition agents. The water soluble polymers, which fall into two structural classes, are especially useful in commerical heavy duty liquid detergent compositions, with which they are compatible in effective amounts. The water soluble polymers enhance several detergent properties such as antiredeposition and lime soap dispersants without a concomittant loss in other detergent composition characteristics. Further, the polymers are compatible with enzyme containing liquid detergents. In the first structural class surfactant radicals are distributed along the polymer chain, which also includes pendent carboxyl and/or carboxylate salt radicals. In the second structural class the polymers are terminated by a surfactant radical.

Abstract: The substance of the present invention which contains an amine derivative such as alkanol amine, alkyl amine and alkylene amine and a surface-active agent is capable of converting waste cooking oil into useful liquid soap easily and quickly. The substance contains a minimum amount of or no strong alkali substances and is therefore quite safe for home use. Thus, waste cooking oil may be recycled for useful purposes and contamination of sewage with waste cooking oil can be prevented.
Abstract: A synergistic surfactant composition comprising an alkylbenzenesulfonate anionic surfactant and at least one organic zwitterionic functional silicone zwitterionic surfactant represented by the formula:Me.sub.3 SiO[SiMe.sub.2 O].sub.x [SiMeR.sup.1 O].sub.y SiMe.sub.3and wherein:R.sup.1 =CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 N(R.sup.2).sub.2 (CH.sub.2).sub.z SO.sub.3.sup.-R.sup.2 =methyl or ethylx=0-3Y=1-2, andz=3-4.
Abstract: Aqueous hair treatment preparations containing as anionic surfactant an alkylether sulfonate corresponding to the following formulaR.sup.1 --O--(C.sub.n H.sub.2n O).sub.x --(CH.sub.2).sub.y --SO.sub.3 (-)M(+)in which R.sup.1 is a C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 alkyl group, n=2 or 3, x=0 to 20, y=1 to 3 and M(+) is an alkali metal ion. Alkylether sulfonates such as these show high foaming power, are easy to thicken and are stable to hydrolysis in acidic medium. They can be prepared by reaction of corresponding alkylether sulfates with sodium sulfite in aqueous solution and extraction from the reaction mixture with a saturated C.sub.4 -C.sub.6 alcohol.
