  • Patent number: 7152742
Abstract: Comminuted carpet pieces are fed to a first stirred tank together with an aqueous solution containing separating salt, to form a first suspension, which is fed to a first mechanical separating stage. A first high-solids phase, a second high-solids phase containing polymer fiber material, and a liquid phase are obtained therefrom. The second high-solids phase is mixed with a water-containing separation solution in a stirred tank, to give a second suspension, which is fed to a second mechanical separating stage. A third high-solids phase, a polymer fiber material-rich phase and a liquid phase are withdrawn therefrom. An acid which is stronger than H2CO3 is introduced into the stirred tank together with the water-containing separation solution, and the pH of the liquid in the stirred tank is adjusted to 2–6.

  • Patent number: 7153079
Abstract: In an automated guided vehicle including a transfer equipment which transfers a wafer, a buffer cassette which temporarily stores the wafer, and a pressing member which is provided at an opening of the buffer cassette, when traveling the automated guided vehicle, if the pressing member is slid to a center position from an end position of the opening of the buffer cassette to contact and press against the edge of the wafer, the pressing member was easily damaged by being rubbed against a periphery of the wafer, and there was a problem in durability of the pressing member. The pressing member 55 can transfer between a “pressing” position which contacts against the edge of the wafer 10 to press the wafer 10, and a “receding” position which is located away from the edge of the wafer 10.

  • Patent number: 7143870
Abstract: A door panel comprises a surface board 11 facing a hoistway, a back board 12 facing a hoistway, and a reinforcing member 13 for reinforcing the surface board 11 and the back board 12 . The back board is connected to the surface board or the reinforcing member by a connecting member 15 which is capable of losing the force of constraint against the surface board or the reinforcing member on high temperature conditions during a fire. This connecting member 15 prevents the door panel of the elevator hall door from being deformed during a building fire, and prevents the elevator hall door from falling, thus preventing smoke and flame from entering the hoistway.

  • Patent number: 7143869
Abstract: A hydraulically operated vertical vehicle lift for working under the vehicle or for storing one vehicle over a second vehicle. The vehicle lift utilizes four large U-shaped columns which house most of the moving parts. Particularly, cables traverse through the columns and around pulleys attached to cross members supporting the vehicle ramps. A hydraulic cylinder under a ramp pulls the cables around the pulleys causing the cross members and ramps to elevate. The orientation of the cables and pulleys direct the force generated while elevating and suspending a vehicle straight down from the internal top center of each column. This directional force provides a stable vehicle lift and the columns and ramps shield the moving parts from operator contact and protect the parts from exposure thereby increasing their useful life of the lift.

  • Patent number: 7137483
Abstract: An elevator in which the sheave diameter is reduced and the attendant lowering of the rope life and strength is suppressed to secure safety and reliability. To this end, a rope is used in which a plurality of element wires constituting the wire rope are each covered with resin material and the whole wire rope is covered with resin material, thereby reducing the wear due to slippage between the element wires and the wear due to contact with the sheave, which wear occurs when the rope is entrained around the sheave. When the elevator sheave diameter is reduced, a worried lowering of the rope life can be suppressed or the rope life can be improved. Thus, it is possible to achieve reduction of size and weight of equipment including motors and hoists, installation space saving for elevators, improved safety and reliability of the system by virtue of the increased rope life.

  • Patent number: 7138596
Abstract: A method for sorting mail to a case having a plurality of slots is described, wherein each slot corresponds to a destination. The method includes steps of loading a mail piece to be sorted into a delivery robot, determining for the mail piece a destination slot the mail piece is to be delivered to, moving the delivery robot along a rail disposed at the front of the case near the slots into proximity with an open end of the destination slot, inserting the mail piece from the delivery robot into the associated slot, and returning the delivery robot to a loading station whereby the cycle may be repeated. Such a method, when using a large number of robots moving along a common rail system, can sort a large volume of mail in carrier delivery order.
