  • Patent number: 10816987
Abstract: Acceleration determination for controlling a vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle, is described. In an example, objects in an environment of the vehicle are identified and a probability that each object will impact travel of the vehicle is determined. Individual accelerations for responding to each object may also be determined. Weighting factors for each of the accelerations may also be determined based on the probabilities. A control acceleration may be determined based on the weighting factors and the accelerations.

  • Patent number: 10812531
Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to enforcing multi-part policies on data-deficient transactions of independent data stores. In particular, it relates to combining active analysis of access requests for the independent object stores with inspection of objects in the independent object stores, each of the analysis and inspection generating and persisting object metadata in a supplemental data store, actively processing data-deficient transactions that apply to the objects by accessing the supplemental data store to retrieve object metadata not available in transaction streams of the data-deficient transactions, and actively enforcing the multi-part policies using the retrieved object metadata.

  • Patent number: 10810290
Abstract: This invention describes a method, and an apparatus for identifying and authenticating an Individual Client (IC), or a Secure-Computing-Device online while ensuring the privacy of the IC's personal data, (IPD), and information against identity theft and fraud by using a combination of prior art Blockchain technology, public key cryptography, and a newly created Biometric Digital Certificate issued by an accredited Biometric Certification Authority. The IC's transactions data are dynamically updated, cryptographically signed for integrity and stored in an immutable blockchain each time the IC requests service from a Service Provider and provides an accurate and traceable audit trail. During online access, the IC transactions data stored in the Blockchain Databases are processed by a Data Analytics Authentication Processor to generate the Service-Access-Authentication-Tag, which is an algorithmic score that determines the IC's eligibility to access online services offered by a plurality of Services Providers.

  • Patent number: 10773719
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining arrangement information for a vehicle (10). The arrangement information comprises a position of the vehicle (10) and an orientation of the vehicle (10) with respect to a stationary coordinate system. In the method, a local driving lane arrangement in the surroundings of the vehicle (10) is detected with sensors (14) of the vehicle (10). A first driving lane arrangement is determined with respect to the stationary coordinate system in dependence on the local driving lane arrangement and a previously determined arrangement information item for the vehicle. A second driving lane arrangement is determined with respect to the stationary coordinate system in dependence on predefined map material.

  • Patent number: 10778655
Abstract: A method is disclosed to secure the operation of a vehicle. To detect any tampering during the communication of information or command, encrypting and authenticating devices are placed on the two ends of a communication channel. On the first end, an encryption device generates a first packet by encrypting the information using a random variable. The first packet and the information are communicated to the second end of the communication channel. On the second end, the authenticating device generates its own packet by encrypting the information using the random variable; then it compares the two packets and pronounces the information authentic if the two packets are identical. Any tampering with the information or the first packet will be detected and blocked by the authenticating device. Secured sensor and secure actuator are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10759427
Abstract: A driving support apparatus for an own vehicle includes a lane keeping assist control unit. When an interrupting vehicle enters ahead of the own vehicle in (i) a situation in which no preceding vehicle is present ahead of the own vehicle, or (ii) a situation in which a preceding vehicle is present ahead of the own vehicle, while a deviation angle formed between a direction of a traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle and a traveling direction of the own vehicle is larger than a threshold, the lane keeping assist control unit is configured not to perform a lane keeping assist control based on the traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle, and is configured to discard the traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle. On and after the deviation angle becomes equal to or smaller than the threshold, the lane keeping assist control unit is configured to perform the lane keeping assist control based on the traveling trajectory of the interrupting vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10754959
Abstract: Procedures to identify the probabilities for different states in a vulnerability life cycle are described. The probabilities are used to develop a number of statistical models to evaluate the risk factor of a particular vulnerability at time “t”. A transition probability matrix of all states of a particular vulnerability as a function of time is also described. A Markov chain process can be iterated to reach a steady state of the transition probability matrix, with the initial probabilities reaching the absorbing states, including exploited and patched states. A risk factor is also introduced for use as an index of the risk of a vulnerability being exploited. Finally, statistical models that can calculate the risk factor more conveniently without going through the Markovian process are described.

  • Patent number: 10742630
Abstract: Method and devices for making access decisions in a secure access network are provided. The access decisions are made by one or more portable credentials using data and algorithms stored on or received by two or more credentials. Since access decisions are made by the portable credential or credentials, non-networked hosts or local hosts can be employed that do not necessarily need to be connected to a central access controller or database, thereby reducing the cost of building and maintaining the secure access network.

  • Patent number: 10742632
Abstract: Systems and methods for passporting credentials provide a mechanism by which a native app on a client device can invoke a service provider's core web site web addresses (URL) while keeping the existing session active and shared between the two experiences (native app and web flow) so that the end user does not need to re-login at each context switch. The mechanism can include a unique way for the web flow context to communicate conditions and pass control back to the native app context of the shared session.
