Abstract: A system captures and combines image data from a plurality of image sensors to generate combined images. A plurality of individual rolling-shutter image sensors comprise a pair of adjacent image sensors. A controller combines image data captured by the plurality of individual rolling-shutter image sensors to generate a combined image, the combined image comprising first pixels captured by a first one of the adjacent image sensors, second pixels captured by a second one of the adjacent image sensors and a first boundary between the first pixels and the second pixels. A first one of the adjacent image sensors is configured to have a first integration and readout scanning direction along a first scanning axis and the second one of the adjacent image sensors is configured to have a second integration and readout scanning direction along the first scanning axis. Both of the first and second integration and readout scanning directions are oriented toward (or away from) the first boundary.

  • Patent number: 10582191
Abstract: A system that generates a 3D environment from data collected by depth sensors (such as LIDAR) and color sensors (such as color video camera data) observing an area or activity, transmits versions of the 3D environment to various devices for display, and enables device users to dynamically alter a viewing angle of the 3D environment. The version of the 3D environment sent to each device may be optimized for the device's resolution and for the bandwidth of the connection to the device. Embodiments may enrich the 3D environment by detecting and tagging objects and their locations in the environment, and by calculating metrics related to motion or actions of these objects. Object tags and metrics may be transmitted to devices and displayed for example as overlays of images rendered from user-selected viewing angles. Embodiments of the system also enable 3D printing of an object as a memento for example.

  • Patent number: 10540742
Abstract: A device that includes integrated circuit includes a tiler circuit, a grid generator, and a warper circuit. The tiler circuit divides the distorted input image data into a plurality of image tiles and stores the image tiles into a memory device. Each image tile is an M×N array of pixel samples where M and N are greater than 1. The grid generator produces a mesh grid that describes a mapping of first pixel locations of the distorted image data to second pixel locations of the corrected image data. The warper circuit reads one or more of the image tiles from the memory device based on the mesh grid and interpolates a warped output image from the image tiles read from memory.

  • Patent number: 10535121
Abstract: A digital medium environment is described to improve creation and rasterization of a shape through pixel alignment. In one example, a pixel alignment system is implemented at least partially in hardware of a computing device. The pixel alignment system receives an input that specifies a geometry, a stroke setting, and a location that serves as a basis to position the shape. The pixel alignment system then snaps the location as specified by the at least one input to a snapped location based on a pixel grid. The snapped location based on the geometry, the stroke setting, and the location as specified by the input. A rasterization module is then employed to rasterize the shape as pixels based on the snapped location.

  • Patent number: 10452401
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to selecting store instructions for dispatch to a shared pipeline. In some embodiments, the shared pipeline processes instructions for different target clients with different data rate capabilities. Therefore, in some embodiments, the pipeline is configured to generate state information that is based on a determined amount of work in the pipeline that targets at least one slower target. In some embodiments, the state information indicates whether the amount of work is above a threshold for the particular target. In some embodiments, scheduling circuitry is configured to select instructions for dispatch to the pipeline based on the state information. For example, the scheduling circuitry may refrain from selecting instructions with a slower target when the slower target is above its threshold amount of work in the pipeline.
